Joe Jonas is singing Taylor Swift’s praises for her taking charge of her career.
Jonas and Swift dated from July to October of 2008, and he infamously broke up with her in a few seconds over the phone.
Swift went on to drag him on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” which is a major regret she admitted to in 2019.
The former couple have moved on since their messy breakup.
Swift is in a long-term and committed relationship with British actor, Joe Alwyn, and Jonas is married to ‘GOT’ actress Sophie Turner.
The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, whom they named Willa, in July 2020.
Turner is a ‘Swiftie’ at heart and totally ‘fangirled’ after Swift released “Mr. Perfectly Fine,” which is suspected to be about Jonas.
Swift didn’t hold back with these lyrics and released all of her 2008 heartbreak singing “Hello Mr. ‘Perfectly fine’ How’s your heart after breaking mine? Mr. ‘Always at the right place at the right time,’ baby Hello Mr. ‘Casually cruel’ Mr. ‘Everything revolves around you.’”
Joe quickly started trending on Twitter soon after Taylor dropped Mr. Perfectly Fine.
Turner was absolutely enamored by the song and even took to her Instagram story at the time commenting, “It’s not NOT a bop @taylorswift.”
Swift responded to her saying, “Forever bending the knee to the 👑 of the north,” a reference to ‘GOT.’
It’s clear there is no animosity between Jonas, Turner or Swift. In fact, the three of them seem to be great friends, so much so that Jonas recently praised Taylor for her bold move to re-record her masters.
Swift is currently re-recording her original six albums after a massive implosion between her, Scooter Braun and Big Machine Records.
In an interview with Buzzfeed , Jonas was asked if he had the chance to re-record a Jonas Brothers song which one would it be.
“Good question. I think I would probably re-record our entire first album, ‘It’s About Time’, which includes hit song ‘Year 3000’. Just do something like what Taylor did recently, which I thought was really clever,” he said.
Got to love a bad break-up turned BFF story.
