Many people think love is all about timing; that you can’t wake up one morning and be in love, you can’t just love someone unconditionally , even without meeting them.
They also say loving someone takes time, but that does not happen every time, as people can meet each other in a day and be married the next.
Sounds ridiculous right? But it’s possible to know someone for a short while and realize that they’re what you have been searching for, for a long time. Take a cue from Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas.
How Did They Meet?
Some people are aware of the beautiful relationship that Chopra and Jonas share, the two got married in 2018, after dating for less than a year.
They became acquainted when Jonas sent a Twitter DM to the actress and she told him that it was better to text her directly because her team could read his messages.
They started talking to each other online, and eventually fell in love. They later met each other in real life over drinks and the rest is history.
Jonas hilariously went down on one knee when he first saw Chopra, questioning if she was actually real.
The Way They Live Their Lives
The couple, despite their busy schedules, decided to live together and constantly communicate. They intend to do this while continuing with their respective careers; Chopra as an actress, and now author, and Jonas as a musician and an actor as well.
They look so good together that fans would be brought to tears if they should ever breakup, which hopefully wouldn’t happen.
It seems almost impossible, to even imagine their separation, as they are almost cut from the same cloth and have fun whenever they can. Mostly with cute messages online.
The Two-In-One Marriage Ceremony
Chopra and Jonas had a Christian and Hindu marriage combo, with all their friends and family present, including Joe Jonas, Kevin Jonas, their partners.
They had a traditional Hindu marriage per Chopra’s traditions, at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur. The photos from the wedding showed them in full Indian attires and they looked stunning. They also performed the marriage rites per Chopra’s culture.
Then, a white wedding was held in the same location and it featured Chopra in a fabulous white dress with a lengthy train attached, and Jonas in a classic black suit.
The Surprise Proposal
Their engagement came as quite a shock to everyone, including Chopra. The duo had been on just three dates, and dating for two months, so it came as a surprise to her.
During an interview with Elle UK, Chopra said;
“I didn’t expect the proposal at that point… It was two months! I thought it would happen, but it was still a complete shock. I relinquished control, and I just went with it. We were just sporadically meeting for about two years before we started officially dating]”
“We were texting and stuff, and there may have been a part of me that wanted something serious. But I was taking a hiatus from guys at that point. I didn’t want anyone romantically. But there’s always been something about Nick, which is why we always ended up staying in touch, no matter where we were.”
