Alana Thompson, aka Honey Boo Boo, has been secretly dating a 20-year-old college student even though she is 16-years-old.

The reality star has been dating a college student named Dralin Carswell for a solid six months. Despite their age difference (4 years), Alana's family approves of the relationship.
“Dralin and Alana are attached at the hip and hang out together all the time,” a source told The Sun. “He’s like one of the family now. He's just as fun and crazy as the rest of them.”
Alana lives in Georgia with her sister Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon, also her legal guardian. The age of consent in Georgia is 16, so there is no legal problem with their relationship.
As for Dralin, he is a car fanatic and treats his Camaro like his baby. He even lets the 16-year-old drive it sometimes, according to The Sun.
Alana is also getting into cars but has her eyes on a different type of ride. "Right now she is saving up for her own car though- she wants a Jeep."
The 16-year-old was just featured in Teen Vogue and discussed how she doesn't really have any friends.
She attends a public high-school and essentially eliminates people that still call her Honey Boo Boo from her circle.
Alana also opened up about dealing with Mama June's issues. “When my mama got real bad with her (drug use), I didn’t know where I was going to end up. I’m proud of myself for how far I’ve come.”
