Thursday, December 9, featured the second day of testimonies in the Kim Potter trial.

Yesterday, Daunte Wright’s mother, Katie Bryant, took the stand.

She described rushing to the scene, only to find out that her son had died.

Today, Wright’s girlfriend, Alayna Albrecht-Payton, took the stand.

Payton was in the car with Wright when he was pulled over by police.

Payton said that after Wright was shot, she tried to stop the bleeding.

She said that Wright “wasn’t answering me and he was just gasping.”

Several other eyewitnesses on the scene also testified.

This included officer Alan Salvosa, a 12-year member of the force who had previously worked with Potter.
