A wild theory has emerged that involves someone sticking random people with a needle.

According to new reports, a source close to the festival is saying that someone in the crowd allegedly started “injecting people with some sort of drug” which caused a giant panic and a surge of the audience that crushed many concertgoers near the front of the event.

While the investigation into the tragedy is still ongoing, many fans have sounded off on Twitter about why they feel Travis should be pulled from Coachella.

There’s been so much backlash that ‘Coachella’ began trending on Twitter on Saturday, November 6.

One person noted a tragedy such as this NEVER happened during Beyonce’s Coachella set.

“Nobody died at Coachella when Beyoncé delivered one of the most iconic performances two days in a row. So yeah excuse us if everyone is a little upset at the kids dying at a relatively smaller event,” a fan tweeted.

One tweeted, “There is absolutely no excuse for what happened at Astroworld. Festivals of that size should have extra crowd control barriers (and most do). Pictured is what it looks like at Coachella to protect those up front from 100,000 fans behind them. A completely avoidable tragedy.”

This outraged fan wrote, “Travis Scott needs to be dropped from Coachella. Even if he isn’t 100% at fault for what happened last night, it’s clear that he, and the energy and “rage” rhetoric that he brings, is a safety liability.”

Initial reports indicated that the massive crowd of 50,000 began surging towards the front causing some sort of “stampede” that caused people to get crushed. But, it appears an investigation is underway to determine if those who suffered from cardiac arrest were the same individuals who might have been injected by the individual.

Travis released a statement on Twitter Saturday morning.

“I’m absolutely devastated by what took place last night. My prayers go out to the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival,” Travis began.

“Houston PD has my total support as they continue to look into the tragic loss of life,” he continued.

It appears the rap star is aware of the theory going around that someone was injecting concertgoers with a needle that contained a foreign substance.
