Travis Scott is breaking his silence on the tragic deaths of eight concertgoers following a wild theory alleging a person was randomly injecting people with a foreign substance.
The ‘Astroworld’ star took to Twitter and addressed his fans and the city of Houston, Texas — saying he is “absolutely devastated” about what took place.
“I’m absolutely devastated by what took place last night. My prayers go out to the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival,” Travis began.
Travis Scott: I Am Absolutely Devasted By The Tragedy
He continued, “Houston PD has my total support as they continue to look into the tragic loss of life.”
It appears the rapper might be aware of a new theory that someone in the crowd was randomly injecting people with a needle filled with some sort of foreign substance. As we reported, a source close to the festival is telling the media that a person “went crazy” and began injecting people in the crowd. At this point, it’s unclear if those are among the eight people who were killed during the concert, or if law enforcement is investigating the theory.
Obviously, Scott is aware the Houston Police Department is investigating the incident.
Travis Scott Says He Will Cooperate With Police Investigation
“I am committed to working together with the Houston community to heal and support the families in need. Thank you to Houston PD, Fire Department, and NRG Park for their immediate response and support. Love You All,” Travis concluded.
As we reported, 8 people were killed during the ‘Astroworld’ festival and over 300 people were injured after the crowd surged towards the front of the venue crushing people in the process. At this point, it’s unclear if the “stampede” was the cause of the tragic deaths, but a wild theory emerged following the event, which included a panic over a person injecting people with some sort of drug.
According to reports, a source close to the festival says someone in the crowd began “injecting people with some sort of drug,” which is what caused the giant panic and surge that crushed concertgoers. Tragically, a 10-year-old is one of the people who died during the event.
‘Astroworld’ Festival Sources Claim Incident Was A ‘Targeted Attack’
At this point, the same source believes this was some sort of “targeted attack.”
It should be noted, the Fire Chief in Houston held a press conference following the event and didn’t mention the theory of a person injecting anyone. Officials called the event a “mass casualty incident,” and told reporters, “The crowd began to compress towards the front of the stage, and that caused some panic, and it started causing some injuries.”
He continued, “People began to fall out, become unconscious, and it created additional panic.”
‘Astrowold’ Killings Are Currently Under Investigation
Again, the incident is currently under investigation, and a medical examiner is currently trying to determine an exact cause of death for the eight individuals. Several law enforcement agencies, including the Police Department, are investigating the tragedy.
Kylie Jenner and the couple’s daughter — Stormi — were present during the incident, but reports say they were not near the front when the surge started. All indications point towards both of them being safe and sound.
