The girls’ bonfire had some moments that really burned for pretty much each of them. They were nervous walking in and their nerves just got worse as each watched a video of what their significant other was up to.
“Temptation Island” host Mark L. Walberg reminded them, “Bonfires are the place where we confront stuff. It’s the place where you get a glimpse into what’s going on on the other side of the island.”
Seeing What Their Significant Others Are Doing Hit Hard During The Bonfire
Kaitlin was first up. She got to watch Hall talking to Makayla about how he’s known something was missing in his relationship and realized that once he was on the island.
“He broke up with me already. Why come back to me? Why propose to me?” she asked through tears. Looks like she’s starting to realize that maybe it’s not going to work out in the long run for them.
Paris also had a bit of a wakeup call about her relationship. She watched Great saying he’s going to change his mindset to that of a single guy and then she saw something she wasn’t quite ready for – Great licking whipped cream off of some girls and then him in bed with Nafeesah. She said she’s embarrassed but thinks maybe Great will feel the same way when he sees what she’s been up to.
Marisela was next. She saw Chris and Alexius in the hammock bonding and him talking to Nafeesah about Alexius, saying some pretty HARD things to hear. She said that’s really what she wanted to see.
“I just want him to find that person that fills his check boxes because I just don’t feel like I’m it,” she explained. “I’m not here to please anybody else or seek validation anymore.”
She explained that she’s actually relieved, and you can see it all over her face.
“I’m happier each day, growing closer to who I want to be each day,” she said. “I am so happy.”
Vanessa was the last one to see what her other half has been up to. She witnessed a clip of Rob talking about how he heard her say lowered her standards to be with him, but he realized that he is the one who actually lowered his standards. Then she saw him making out with Desiree on the couch.
“It’s the nerve and the audacity,” she said. “Say less.”
She then lost it about the make out session and said she’s “just so disappointed.”
Walberg reminded all the ladies that “TI” is intense.
“‘Temptation Island’ is extreme. It’s rocky, scary and it hurts,” he said. “And you get to have the love you didn’t know you deserved, and it starts with you.”
The Aftermath Of The Bonfire Still Burns
After the bonfire, the girls went back to their villa where the guys had a spa day waiting for them. At the guys’ villa, the girls had shots lined up and ready. And then the tears began to flow.
Great said seeing Paris and Tahjicc having sex bothered him, but he didn’t even have to say it because it was written all over his face. He broke down in tears and said he is “done with Paris.”
Chris told Alexius he’s no longer in a relationship, and broke down as well.
Rob and Desiree went off to the couch to talk and he had a little breakdown talking about how Vanessa drained him.
Hall also had a little breakdown, and eventually told Makayla that she’s what he’s been searching for.
Looks like all four relationships will never be the same as they were when they arrived on the island.
At the girls’ villa, Marisela and Kristian let loose, which of course set off the Temptation Light in the guys’ villa. The men collectively agreed that they are “classy gentlemen” and at least they didn’t fold first.
More Dates…
Great and Nafeesah had another date and things certainly got steamy for the two during their pickup truck picnic. Once it started to rain, they retreated inside of the truck where it wasn’t the rain that steamed up the windows. Before their heavy make out session, they both agreed that they only want each other, so it’s beginning to look like they’re headed in the direction of ultimately being a couple.
Chris and Alexius also went on another date. He revealed to her that they have a natural vibe together.
“Whenever I’m with Chris, I feel like now I can be open. I can be comfortable,” she said.
While Kaitlin is confused between two men, she went on a date with Mike and said she’s trying to stay open to seeing where it can go with him.
Hall and Makayla are definitely moving closer and closer together.
“I have a feeling I’ve never felt before,” she said. “It would be hard to leave here and not have you in my life.”
She used the word “soulmate” in conversation with Hall and that seems like all he needed to hear to know things are progressing in a way he’s excited about.
“Makayla said soulmate; it hit my soul real fast,” he said. “That’s basically her telling me she’s falling in love with me and I can see it.”
It appears that both villas are now on shaky ground with the people they arrived to the island with, and that new connections are fully forming. Who do you think will ultimately leave the island with a new partner?
“Temptation Island” airs on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on USA Network.
