'Southern Charm' Star Kathryn Dennis Denies Thomas Ravenel's Accusation of Hit-and-Run or Buying Drugs from Show Producers

By TheBlast Staff

"Southern Charm" star Kathryn Dennis is denying allegations by her ex Thomas Ravenel that she scores prescription drugs from show producers or she was involved in a recent hit-and-run and claims she has not failed a single drug test.

On January 17, Dennis filed court docs in her nasty custody battle with Ravenel, responding to his recent accusations.

The reality star calls the drug allegations "frivolous" and notes she has passed every single drug test that Ravenel requested since the 2017 court order. She says that she is a "fit and competent parent and the children seek and need more time with their Mother — not with a Nanny."

She says it is “extremely sad and disturbing that the Defendant would fabricate an entire series of defamatory allegations in his” court documents.

The reality star also responded to the claim that she filed for primary custody for a storyline, saying she purposely waited until after the filming of the current season of "Southern Charm" to avoid it being a part of the show.

In regard to the video of her allegedly committing a hit-and-run, she says the video was the result of him hiring a private detective to set up a hidden camera at her home for weeks at a time during several months in 2018.

Dennis explains the video and denies it was a hit-and-run, saying she "slightly grazed her neighbor’s car while backing out of a narrow parking space."

She says she believes the video itself is a violation of the current restraining order in place and says it has nothing to do with the case. Dennis also claims her ex also put a tracker on her vehicle but says the surveillance has not produced any relevant evidence.

Dennis also used this latest filing to lob a new accusation of her own at Ravenel, saying there is a witness who claims he was "out partying with the use of cocaine on the night his son was born."

A judge has yet to rule on custody.

Back in November 2018, Ravenel filed a lawsuit against Bravo and “Southern Charm” producers demanding a judge stop them from broadcasting unaired footage on the show.

Ravenel filed the docs as part of his custody battle with Dennis. She filed for primary custody of the children back in October.

Dennis had her custody taken away in 2016 after failing a drug test but was awarded joint custody this year after completing rehab and staying clean.

In his suit against Bravo, Ravenel says the network and “Southern Charm” producers “encouraged” his ex to file for custody against him to create drama on the show. He is demanding Dennis not be awarded primary custody despite her request.

Ravenel, who is about to be on trial for an alleged sexual assault in South Carolina, claimed he learned that Bravo and producers have unaired footage of his kids and ex talking about the legal battle and it was to be aired on the upcoming season.

The reality star sued demanding a South Carolina judge prohibit the sensitive footage from airing on the show.
