'Southern Charm' Star Kathryn Dennis' Alleged Hit and Run Caught on Video
By TheBlast Staff on January 9, 2019 at 9:11 AM EST
“Southern Charm” star Thomas Ravenel accused his baby mama Kathryn Dennis of a hit and run and now there is video to back up his allegation.
As The Blast first reported, Ravenel made the claim as part of a nasty court filing in the couple’s custody battle. Rather matter-of-factly, he said in the document, “Father is informed and believes that on or about October 29, 2018, Mother committed a hit and run.”
The Blast has obtained video shot outside of a home Dennis is renting in Charleston, South Carolina.
In the video, Dennis can be seen getting into her car and then attempting to back out of the parking lot. But instead, Dennis sideswipes a BMW, causing damages to the rear of the vehicle (photo of the damage below).

Dennis can then be seen straightening out her vehicle and re-attempting to drive away, which she does successfully on the second try.
It is unclear if Dennis ever contacted the driver about the accident.
The Blast reached out to a lawyer for Dennis for comment — so far, no word back.

Back in November 2018, Ravenel filed a lawsuit against Bravo and “Southern Charm” producers demanding a judge stop them from broadcasting unaired footage on the show.
Ravenel filed the docs as part of his custody battle with Dennis. She filed for primary custody of the children back in October.
Dennis had her custody taken away in 2016 after failing a drug test but was awarded joint custody this year after completing rehab and staying clean.
In his suit against Bravo, Ravenel says the network and “Southern Charm” producers “encouraged” his ex to file for custody against him to create drama on the show.
Ravenel, who is about to be on trial for an alleged sexual assault in South Carolina, claimed he learned that Bravo and producers have unaired footage of his kids and ex talking about the legal battle and it was to be aired on the upcoming season.

The reality star sued demanding a South Carolina judge prohibit the sensitive footage from airing on the show.
In a January 2019 filing obtained by The Blast, Ravenel made new claims against Dennis, saying he believes that she "abuses prescription drugs, is engaged in the use of illegal drugs, and consumes alcohol in combination thereof regularly."
He also claims that she "has been intoxicated by the abuse of prescription drugs and/or use of illegal drugs while in sole care" of the couple's minor children.
Ravenel adds that he believes Dennis buys, sells and trades prescription medications to and from "friends, cast members and show producers to support her prescription drug habit."
The reality star claims that Dennis becomes "overwhelmed" after having their kids for more than a few days and that causes her to engage in use of prescription drug abuse "as a coping mechanism for anxiety and stress."
He is demanding the judge grant him primary custody and order Dennis to pay him child support.
The case is ongoing.
