Jennifer Hudson's Ex, David Otunga, Subpoena's Singer’s Sister in Custody Battle

Jennifer Hudson’s ex-fiancé has made a rather curious move in the former couple's ongoing custody battle — he's demanding her sister Julia show up and be grilled under oath.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Otunga fired off a subpoena to Julia Hudson, requesting she sit for a deposition.

The subpoena itself is sealed in the case, so it is unclear what he plans on questioning her about relating to the case.

Julia is Jennifer’s older sister, whose mother, brother and son were infamously shot to death in 2008 by Julia’s estranged husband. He was later sentenced to life in prison.

Hudson and Otunga have been battling it out in court over custody and support of their son, with each accusing the other of playing legal games. At one point, Jennifer feared he would kidnap their son and David claimed she was trying to defame him with her allegations.

The case is ongoing.
