Maverick is still feeling the need for speed.
San Diego Comic Con 2019 is here, and that means that fans will be getting tons of new trailers and other tidbits of information about the geek projects that they’re looking forward to. There’s always a few surprises along the way and things that will take your breath away.
The first major reveal of SDCC this year? The Top Gun: Maverick trailer. Tom Cruise is back in the pilot’s seat, and he’s bringing Ed Harris, Jon Hamm, Miles Teller, Glen Powell, and Manny Jacinto with him. Val Kilmer is also set to return as Ice Man.

Piggybacking onto the end of the Terminator: Dark Fate panel in Hall H, Cruise presented the trailer with the assurance that Top Gun: Maverick has the typical Cruise stunt flair:

If you weren’t already on board with the idea of a sequel coming 30-some years after the original, this trailer may just change your mind. Twitter is currently abuzz about it, and people seem to be 100% ready to head back to the danger zone.
