Blac Chyna, born Angela White, and Tyga, born Michael Stevenson, have been involved in a long and contentious legal battle for custody of their son.

The model opened up about her coparenting relationship with the rapper during an October 2023 interview on “The Viall Files” podcast.

According to US Weekly, “Chyna and Tyga started dating in 2011 and got engaged after welcoming their son, King Cairo, in October 2012. Chyna said on the podcast that she and Tyga split after things ‘ran its course.’ Tyga moved on with Kylie [Jenner] in 2014.”

Chyna has long been vocal about the pain that Tyga’s relationship with Jenner caused her. She revealed on the podcast that she was close friends with Kim Kardashian at the time.

“‘Then her little sister [Kyle Jenner] started talking to Tyga, which was kind of crazy because she was underage. Everybody, kind of, came at me and started attacking me. Nobody’s seen the betrayal that went on behind my back of me talking to somebody, Kim, and then her little sister—who she has no control over—started talking to my fiancé. Then I get attacked. How does that work?’,” she said according to US Weekly.

But the drama with the famous reality family was just beginning. Chyna soon embarked on a romance with Rob Kardashian. She explained on the podcast that Rob began direct messaging her, and she fell for him.

The controversial pair were first linked in early 2016 and announced their engagement in April of that year. By May, they were expecting. Their first child, daughter Dream, now 7, was born in January of 2017, but the duo split soon after.

More legal battles ensued, with Chyna suing the reality family for defamation in 2017. That case was later dismissed.

“A Los Angeles jury found that Kim Kardashian and her family did not unjustly harm the career of model Blac Chyna. The civil panel had been deliberating and returned verdicts in favor of Kardashian, her mother, Kris Jenner, and her sisters Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner,” the documents state.

In Chyna’s lawsuit, she claimed that the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” family “destroyed her television career after she broke up with Rob Kardashian… Their relationship had led to them scoring their own ‘Keeping Up’ spinoff, ‘Rob & Chyna,’ on the E! network. A second season of ‘Rob & Chyna’ was in production when they broke up in 2017 and the show was scrapped.”

In 2022, Chyna put both her exes on blast for not providing for their children. She posted on X (known as Twitter at the time), “Yesterday I had to give up 3 of my cars …my reasons… morals, beliefs, being a single mother, no support I’m a MAMA.”

Both Tyga and Kardashian refuted her claims at the time.

However, on the “Viall Files” podcast, Chyna reflected on her motherhood journey.

“‘As crazy as things may seem in the beginning, I’m just glad I was always relaxed and calm. Now I have my Kingy and my Dreamy and they just really helped shape the woman that I am today. I’m so grateful for them’,” she said according to US Weekly.

Neither Blac Chyna nor Tyga has yet to publicly comment on the new custody arrangement.
