'Tommy Boy' Star Brian Dennehy Dies At Age 81 From 'Natural Causes'

'Tommy Boy' star and legendary actor Brian Dennehy has died at the age of 81.

According to multiple reports, the veteran actor passed away on Wednesday night in his home state of Connecticut. Dennehy died from natural causes, so no autopsy will be performed on his body.

Usually, in a case like this, a person is suffering from an underlying condition where they are already under a doctors care.

Dennehy is most famous for his role as Chris Farley's dad in the movie 'Tommy Boy.'

Brian Dennehy's impressive career started in the 1970s where he has guest-starring roles in 'MASH' and 'Dallas.'

But, in the '80s, Brian got his big break and starred alongside Sylvester Stallone in 'Rambo: First Blood.' Of course, he went on the star is a ton of films including 'Cocoon,' 'Presumed Innocent,' and 'Silverado.'

Dennehy was also a very accomplished theater actor where he took home two Tony Awards for Best Actor. The first Tony was for 'Death Of A Salesman' and a second one for 'Long Day's Journey Into Night.'

The legendary actor has over 200 film and television credits to his name and had recently done several voice-over characters.

According to Brian's representatives, he died in New Haven, Connecticut of natural causes -- surrounded by his family.

Brian's co-star in Tommy Boy, Chris Farley, died at the age of 33. The legendary comedian was found by his brother, and an autopsy revealed that Farley had died of an overdose of cocaine and morphine, a combination known as a speedball.
