Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Ashley Alexiss had a scary situation Saturday night when a kitchen accident escalated to her husband suffering a seizure and being rushed to the hospital. 29-year-old Alexiss, who is also a body-positive advocate, revealed the incident in a series of posts to her Instagram Stories on Sunday afternoon. Alexiss and her husband, Travis Yohe, live in Boston, Massachusetts. First showing a very sharp chef’s knife, Alexiss wrote a “PSA.”
“PSA TO MEN: this should not be used to cut butter. Do not be like my husband, she wrote.
The next photo showed bloody marks across the wood floor in Alexiss’ home, and was captioned “Cuz then this could happen.”
She then showed her husband lying in a hospital bed with tubes and wires strewn about. Travis also covered his face for the candid pic. Alexiss explained what caused the trip the emergency room and picked up from her previous slide.
“Then results to this happening because he fainted from seeing his blood then decided to scare me even further and have a seizure.”
She later told fans that Travis was “okay,” and gave an update on what was going on with his medical condition.
“They’re checking his head but scariest moment of my life.” Let me tell you. My poor heart sunk.”
Alexiss, who recently joined the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue team, said the accident started after the “knife fell off the counter and into his foot.”
She also let people know, “Don’t worry, I already ordered him a butter spreader & they glued his foot shut.”
Ashley Alexiss and Travis Yohe have been together for years, and got engaged in December, 2016. They were married earlier this year in a lavish wedding in New Jersey.
