Sure, plenty of people were celebrating the United States over the Fourth of July, but truly the best thing to come out of the holiday weekend was a particularly adorable photo set from tennis legend Serena William‘s Instagram.
Williams was clearly keeping up her game in quarantine, and on the court next to her was her adorable two-year-old daughter Alexis Olympia in a matching purple leotard. Williams prompted an onslaught of delighted comments by writing “Caption this” alongside the cute photo.

Williams has posted adorable content with Olympia before, but the matching outfits just took the cuteness to the next level.
Williams gave birth to Olympia in September 2017, and she and her husband, Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian, have been hardworking co-parents to the toddler. Williams told NBC in 2018 that being a Mom has done nothing to throw off her game.
“You know, it’s hard to say — I want to win, whether I’m a mom or not. Obviously I want to win while having Olympia. One day I’ll tell her that, you know, she was born and I still kept winning. But at the same time, I don’t have to win another match in my whole life. I’ve done so much in my career, and right now I want to just focus on having fun out there. And ironically enough, that’s when I started to play my best tennis.”
“I think of what they do literally every single day to support their family and to be a rock for their family. And it helps me keep going. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t think that women are just really amazing.”
Williams continued, explaining that her job gives her a certain amount of privilege, and that she’s dedicated to working her schedule around her daughter.
“I don’t know how moms do it. I work a lot, and I can’t imagine working a full day like most working women and then go back to their babies. I’m fortunate enough that I have days off, and I get to make my schedule and then can spend the rest of the day with her. And that’s still hard.”
