According to Us Weekly, the divorce is heating up with Jim requesting primary custody of their children in the divorce.
A source told the outlet, “Jim is talking with his legal team about getting full custody of the children because he is getting increasingly upset that Meghan has been out of town during portions of her custodial time. There have been numerous times where Jim has brought the kids to Meghan for her custodial week only to find she is out of town and he has to leave them with Meghan’s nanny.”
Meghan released a statement about the alleged custody demand. She said, “I am a working, single mother and I have one live-in nanny (with no plans to hire an additional nanny). In the 10 months since Jim walked out on our children and myself, I have left Aspen, Hart, and Hayes with my mother for three days (with my nanny helping her). I told Jim I had to be out of town for those days but he told me he couldn’t take custody of the kids because he would also be out of town.” She continued by trashing her ex with allegations he was inappropriate with their former nanny.
Steve Honig, Jim’s rep, tells The Blast, “We’re not going to comment on anything related to custody. As the father of 7 children, Jim understands you have to place the needs of your kids before your own because that’s what a parent does. Meghan’s comments are completely false, have nothing to do with the issue at hand and are the irrational rantings of an angry person trying to contest a prenuptial agreement.”
As The Blast previously reported, last year, Jim filed the divorce from Meghan following 5 years of marriage. They share three kids together: Aspen, Hart and Hayes. We’re told Meghan has been contesting the prenuptial agreement the couple signed before their marriage.
Sources tell The Blast, during the recent settlement talks, Meghan demanded a lump sum payment 10x higher than what was agreed to in the prenuptial agreement. During negotiations, we’re told Meghan said she would be willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement, which would prevent her from talking about the marriage, if she received $1 million from Jim.
At one point, Meghan allegedly referenced possibly writing a Tell-All about her life which could obviously include her divorce from Jim. The mediation did not resolve anything and the case is moving forward.
Meghan and Jim got married back in October 2014. She would join the cast of “Real Housewives of Orange County” in 2015.The two appeared on the reality show from season 10-12.
