Mary-Kate Olsen suffered a setback in her divorce from Olivier Sarkozy with a judge denying her emergency request.
According to Page Six, a Manhattan Supreme Court Justice ordered Mary-Kate’s divorce has to wait. The court is currently way backed up due to the pandemic and divorce cases aren’t moving forward.
Earlier this week, the 33-year-old actress filed legal documents asking a judge to stop Olivier from kicking her out of their New York apartment in the middle of the crisis.
Mary-Kate said Olivier’s attorney told her to have her personal items out of the apartment by May 18. She responded asking for an extension but never heard back.

In docs she wrote, “This application is an emergency because my husband expects me to move out of our home on Monday, May 18, 2020 in the middle of New York City being on pause due to COVID-19.”
She added, “I am petrified that my husband is trying to deprive me of the home we have lived in and if he is successful, I will not only lose my home but I risk losing my personal property as well.”
In docs, she accused her estranged husband of terminating their lease without telling her. The judge didn’t see the emergency and denied the request. The decision means Mary-Kate is screwed if her ex goes forward with kicking her out.
Mary-Kate reportedly asked the court to allow her to continue using their Hamptons home, Gramercy apartment and another luxury pad. She also wants the judge to enforce the terms of their prenuptial agreement.
The mogul was spotted walking the streets of New York in a mask amid the divorce drama.
Mary-Kate and Olivier were married back in November 2015. Back in December, the two were spotted out in New York with Mary-Kate’s sister Ashley. They were celebrating the twins 33rd birthday.
