Kristin Cavallari filed a divorce petition against Jay Cutler days before telling the world.

According to US Weekly, the “Very Cavallari” star is moving quickly to legally end her marriage to Jay. Kristin filed documents in court to start the process of divorce on April 24. The two released a joint statement announcing their breakup on April 26.

The two have been married for over seven years. Before getting married, the two reportedly hashed out a prenuptial agreement that laid out who got what in case of a divorce.

The statement posted on social media read, “With great sadness, after 10 years together we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce. We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of. This is just the situation of two people growing apart. We ask everyone to respect our privacy as we navigate this difficult time within our family”

Kristin and Jay were married in 2013 and share three children: two sons and one daughter.

As The Blast first reported, the two are currently trying to sell off their 7-bedroom, 10-bathroom, 19,983 sq. ft. $5 million Nashville mansion. They purchased the property for $5.3 million in 2012.

They first listed the home for sale in June 2018 for $7.9 million. The property sat on the market for months and they slashed the price down by a million in April 2019. Earlier this year, the former couple lowered the price down to $4,950,000, where it currently sits.

The property description reads, “This impressive Mediterranean influenced villa is comprised of 25 rooms of exquisite interior living space * Upon entering an atmosphere of infused sophistication and casual elegance is obvious throughout * The residence itself is sited on 8.56 acres affording maximum privacy and breathtaking views of the surrounding hills.”

Last year, Jay and Kristin bought a $4.2 million mansion in Franklin, Tennessee.
