Celebrities have been rallying around Australia recently as the country continues to be ravaged by wildfires. Over 2,000 homes have been destroyed and 23 people have been killed.
Kim Kardashian is among those who have tried to help raise awareness for the issue. On Sunday, however, one fan accused her of not doing enough, and she fired back.
“Nothing gets me more heated than to see the Kardashians/Jenners talk about climate change/wildfires & not donate even a penny,” the Twitter user said in a since deleted tweet.
Kardashian quote RT’ed it, writing, “nothing gets me more heated than to see people think they know what we donated to and to think we have to publicize everything.”

“I literally just saw a debate about how even if you did talk about how much you donated then there would be those people who said you only donate for publicity so it’s all a lose lose situation,” one fan noted in the mentions.
“Wow but if any of the kardashians posted what they donated to, people would grill them for chasing clout. And all the people complaining probably haven’t donated either. Get a life everyone celebrities need a break too,” another said, defending Kardashian.
Another thought Kim was being a hypocrite, however. “But you do publicize almost everything though like your opulent lifestyles, and wearing furs and taking luxurious private jets with high carbon dioxide emissions. This is just so pretentious and… hypocritical,” they wrote.
Kim also retweeted a couple of messages from her sister, Khloe.
“Good deeds should be done with intention and not for attention. We are all blessed to be able to bless others even if it is in the slightest way. But we do not need to be boastful about that. Be boastful in regards to teaching others how they may be able to help as well,” one of them read.
“We often bring attention to causes and ways you can donate. It’s our job to bring awareness to situations so we all can help as a human race,” Khloe wrote in another tweet. “We Frequently post/speak about organizations/websites where we can all help save our planet.”
