Life Under Quarantine

Social distancing in the time of the coronavirus pandemic has disrupted life on basically every level. As people are staying at home to flatten the curve, many of the luxuries that we've taken for granted are not available to us now.

Even celebrities are feeling the sting of being stuck at home, and Live With Kelly And Ryan cohost Kelly Ripa shared some of her experiences with quarantine, joking that she was "running out of things to wear."

"I’m now in my daughter’s clothes. It’s gone there."

Living With Her Daughter

While they're living together under quarantine, Ripa explained that her 18-year-old daughter Lola is helping her get creative with her beauty routine with the most Gen Z inspiration of them all: TikTok.

"My daughter learned how to do my hair using the tie of your bathrobe. She watched a TikTok video on how to do hair by wrapping your hair around the bathrobe tie. And my daughter did my hair!"

She's also had to forgo her regular hair coloring appointments, but her battle against grey rages on.

"I’ve been spraying my roots. At this point, it’s all spray because my hair is all gray."

Getting Creative

Ripa shared some encouragement about living with COVID-19 on her Instagram, but she has been open about how difficult stuck in quarantine can be.

While virtually cohosting Live With Kelly And Ryan last week, Ripa got emotional while discussing the difficulties of the changes under coronavirus.

"I'm not going to lie, OK? I'm going to let you in on a little secret. I'm currently not speaking to two of my three kids right now. I'm not talking to two of them. Just because, we're all in the same boat together, right? I haven't gotten to hug my parents... I miss hugging my parents."

It Isn't Easy

Ripa claimed that her kids won't hug her, despite her insistence that it's fine since they're living in the same home.

"I'm like, 'Guys, we've all been on lockdown together. We're fine, you can give me a hug.'"

Ripa managed to pull herself together by the end of her broadcast.

"Anyway, I'm sorry. I don't know why I'm crying," she said, before adding: "Maybe I'm just going to get my period, who knows? Sorry... Sorry, did I shout that? Did my inner monologue come out? Sorry, I didn't mean to do that."

If she and her daughter are bonding over TikTok hair tips and sharing clothes, hopefully the Ripa-Consuelos household is a little more peaceful as quarantine continues.
