West: T.I. 'Talking About Something That's God-Approved'

Kanye West seems to approve of rapper T.I.'s practice of checking to see whether his daughter's hymen is still intact, and nobody should be surprised at this turn of events.

West brought up the subject indirectly during his Sunday Service at Union Rescue Mission in Los Angeles' Skid Row:

“They tried to play T.I., but he’s talking about something that’s God-approved. It’s 30 states that still got the death penalty. Thou shall not kill. But we be cool with that.”

Union Rescue Mission is a homeless shelter that offers food and faith for people.

T.I. Continues To Draw Fire For His Abusive Actions

TMZ wrote in November that T.I. said on the "Ladies Like Us" podcast that he schedules his daughter's gynecology appointment every year, usually after Deyjah's birthday.

T.I. said back then: "I think that most kids in hindsight, looking back, they always thank their parents for not allowing them to damage themselves as much as they could have."

T.I. and his wife, Tameka "Tiny" Harris, made a recent appearance on "Red Table Talk" to address the controversy.

During that appearance, T.I. appeared to walk back his statements that he would regularly check his daughter Deyjah Harris' hymen, to make sure she wasn't having sex. T.I. would apparently go with his daughter to her gynecologist appointments to get live updates on her status, which should be private.

“I think this surrounds a conversation I was having in a very joking manner. I just began to – from a place of truth – I began to embellish and exaggerate.”

T.I. still needs some education, since a woman's hymen can break whether or not she's had intercourse.

Now it sounds like he thinks people are taking him way too literally.

“I think people kinda took it extremely literal, because if you put any of my reputation… who I am as a father, who I been… I honestly thought people knew me better than that," T.I. said.

West's comments at this recent Sunday Service included a mix of "devil-approved" and "God-approved" topics.

West launched his new gospel career this year, and is already selling out stadiums on his tour with televangelist Joel Osteen.

We All Have Our Crosses It Seems

At Osteen's megachurch in November, West also spoke of his own battle with good and evil in front of 17,000:

“I know that God’s been calling me for a long time and the devil’s been distracting me for a long time. When I was in my lowest points, God was there with me and sending me visions and inspiring me, and I remember sitting in the hospital at UCLA after having a mental breakdown, and there’s documentations of me drawing a church and writing, ‘Start a church in the middle of Calabasas.’ ”
