Kanye West's Breakdown Not Being Filmed For 'Keep Up With The Kardashians'

By Ryan Naumann

Kim Kardashian and her family have decided not to profit off Kanye West's mental illness and aren’t filming his meltdown for their reality show.

According to reports, Kim Kardashian made the decision to keep her husband off the cameras amid his current health issues. The series just started shooting again after production was given the clear amid Covid.

Sources say Kim doesn’t want to exploit her husband for reality television. The family had no problem “exploiting” Lamar Odom during his addiction issues though for their E! reality show.

As The Blast previously reported, Kim Kardashian and her family have been attempting to get Kanye medical help. Sources close to the family say Kanye is in the middle of a bipolar episode. They fear his actions are causing his businesses to be ruined.

Kanye is currently holed up at his ranch in Wyoming where guests like Dave Chappelle and Damon Dash have shown up to check on the musician. Kim recently released a statement about the situation, "Those that understand mental illness or even compulsive behavior know that the family is powerless unless the member is a minor.

She continued, "People who are unaware or far removed from this experience can be judgmental and not understand that the individual themselves have to engage in the process of getting help no matter how hard family and friends try."

She added, "We as a society talk about giving grace to the issue of mental health as a whole, however we should also give it to the individuals who are living with it in times when they need it the most," she concluded. "I kindly ask that the media and public give us the compassion and empathy that is needed so that we can get through this."

All this started after Kanye announced he was running for President earlier this month.
