"The Morning Show" Launches With Reese Witherspoon

Apple TV+

Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon launched their new show, "The Morning Show," on Apple TV+, and the reviews are coming in on both sides of the aisle.

The show centers around Aniston's character, a popular morning show anchor, Alex Levy, and Witherspoon plays Bradley Jackson, who's is new to the business.

Steve Carell plays host, Mitch Kessler, who is facing allegations of sexual assault. Some believe the shows content is consistent with the news story surrounding 'Today' show host Matt Lauer.

The actresses have confirmed a few parts of the show were rewritten to reflect the #MeToo movement.

One New York Times critic said, “After three episodes, this tech company’s first venture into TV is good only at appearing to be good. It’s like something assembled in a cleanroom out of good-show parts from incompatible suppliers. Under the gleaming surface, as sleek and anodyne as an Apple Store, it is a kludge.”

Lighting Up Instagram

The actress has taken Instagram by storm, being one of the last celebrities to join the social media platform.

The "Marley & Me" actress made headlines earlier this year just about breaking Instagram after gaining one million followers in just five hours, which is a world record.

"And now we’re Instagram FRIENDS too. HI INSTAGRAM," she wrote in her first post with a photograph of her fellow 'Friends' show castmates.

She got a similar celebrity reaction to her Halloween post, where she posted a throwback of herself in a witches outfit. She captioned it, "TBT Halloween at 16 and 17, NYC. 35 years of friendship with this special one."

Reese Witherspoon responded, "oh my gosh !! Spooky !!!" with a heart-eyes smiling emoji.

Actress Rita Wilson wrote, "I’m digging the slope of your witchy hat."

The best comment on her post is from longtime friend Chelsea Handler, who said, 'You guys look younger now. A lot."
