Erykah Badu is asking fans for help in locating her daughter’s missing friend.
Sharing an urgent alert from local news about the teenager to her nearly 4 million followers, the Grammy winning singer posted, “Dallas Texas – my daughter’s friend. Thanks for your help.”
The girl Badu posted about is 16-year-old Melissa “Rae Rae” Robinson, who was last seen 48 hours ago with her 40-year-old neighbor.
Although, she’s been MIA for 2 days, according to Badu’s post, she “does not meet the strict Amber alert criteria.”
The alleged neighbor is Will Griffis and he drives a gray Mustang convertible. Badu’s IG post even provides a license plate number.
Badu’s daughter — Puma Sabti Curry, who’s 15 years old — is a student alongside Robinson at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas, Texas.
Puma shared several posts pleading with her social media followers too, asking them to keep a look out for her missing friend.
If anyone has any information about Robinson’s whereabouts, please alert the proper authorities as instructed.
At the time of this post, it doesn’t appear that Robinson has been located.
This tragic incident comes just months after Puma was in the news highlighting her singing ability.
Back in May, the world got a preview of her chops, which are comparable to her famous mom’s vocals.
During a talent show at her high school, Puma stunned the crowd — and made Mama proud — with her rendition of a hit from the musical “Dreamgirls.”
