Trump is expected to travel to Buckingham Palace next week to meet with the Queen, Charles and Harry during a 3-day state visit to the United Kingdom.
The Duchess of Sussex will not be one of the royals he meets, which is probably for the best seeing as she described Trump as "misogynistic" during his 2016 presidential campaign. Markle, who was a big supporter of Hillary Clinton, is said to be on maternity leave still with son, Archie, but many are speculating that they are keeping the new mom away to avoid a scene between the two Americans.
During a meeting with The Sun in the Oval Office, Trump was surprised to hear about Markle's previous comments, and said, "I didn’t know that. What can I say? I didn’t know that she was nasty."
Even though she has been less than positive about the President, he actually decided to take the higher road and still believes Markle will make a "very good" American princess.
Trump said he is looking forward to the meeting with the royals.
