Lyssa Chapman, Duane “Dog” Chapman’s daughter and the late Beth Chapman’s stepdaughter, says her dad is “on the mend,” after recent fears he had a heart attack.
Lyssa Chapman posted a photo of hereself with the peace sign on Instagram with the message, “Dad is on the mend so I got to run out for a fun hike today.”
She was out for a hike in Colorado, taking a much-needed break from what must be a stressful time for her and the rest of the kids.
Included in her message is a nod to Beth Chapman:
“I forgot my shoes in Hawaii so I wore of pair of [Beth Chapman’s] up. She would have loved this #HikeColorado #theincline #manitousprings #missingbae.”
Thankfully, Dog didn’t have a heart attack; rather, his symptoms were an indication of high blood pressure and stress.
Dog’s team reported in a statement:
“Dog is back at home and resting comfortably. He is overwhelmed by the support of fans and friends from around the world, and is deeply touched by the outpouring of prayers, love, and encouragement.”
“While he is following doctor’s orders and taking time to heal, he wants everyone to follow DOG’S ORDERS and watch Dog’s Most Wanted Wednesday night on WGN America.”
