Charlie Sheen almost appeared on this season’s “Dancing With the Stars,” but backed out at the last minute. Here’s why.
Sheen apparently was prepping to rehearse with Cheryl Burke for the reality dancing competition.
And Us Weekly says that Sheen’s casting on the show was actually “part of a bigger deal at ABC.”
Sheen’s publicist confirmed the news, adding the appearance was connected to ABC’s offer for him to appear in a pilot series — “a very generous offer.”
This offer was only “contingent” if he took part in “Dancing With the Stars.”
But there was a problem. Charlie can’t dance.
“I was very flattered by ABC and their offer, but at the end of the day, I have two left feet, and I just can’t dance,” he told Us Weekly.
Another star who recently dropped out from the DWTS was model Christie Brinkley, who hurt her wrist and arm and dropped out of the show hours before its premiere on Sept. 16.
According to ABC in a story by Entertainment Weekly:
“While rehearsing for the premiere of ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ Christie Brinkley suffered injuries which required surgery to her wrist and arm. She is unable to continue her planned participation on the show.”
