While Vanessa Hudgens drew criticism online after a video expressing a very casual attitude towards people dying from coronavirus (It’s time to get over Coachella getting postponed, girl), people are rallying behind Cardi B and her videos about her coronavirus fears. Her latest video was recorded to her Instagram story and a fan posted it on Twitter.
As many people in the United States are self-quarantining and already starting to feel the effects of the isolation, Cardi B’s latest video hilariously spoke to the weary souls of many.
Cardi filmed the rant in her home, and let’s just say she wants to break out outfits cuter than sweatpants.
“I need to know what’s going on. If you fu–ing work at The Pentagon, let a b–ch know because I need to f–ing know. I need to f–ing know.
I don’t know if you could tell, but I’m losing my fu–ing mind. I want to get dressed up, I want to put a fu–ing lace front on, I want to put my fu–ing expensive outfits and I want to go fu–ing out. And I can’t.”
Much respect to the immaculate make up she’s wearing in the video despite quarantine. Just because you’re alone doesn’t mean that you don’t deserve to keep your eyebrows on point.

This is not the first time that Cardi’s thoughts on coronavirus have made the rounds online. Cardi is taking the COVID-19 threat seriously, and she is expressing that relatable anxiety online quite a bit. In a video posted a week ago, she said (screamed):
“Government, government, government. You want to know something? I know s–t getting real. Once the stock market starts going low, that’s how I know shit getting real.”
Cardi may be asking these questions in expensive fits and extensions, but she is speaking for the everyman!
However, her biggest claim to coronavirus news cycle fame is her clip where she’s talking about stocking up to prepare for the quarantine. She says:
“Let me tell y’all something, I ain’t even gonna front. A b-tch is scared. I’m a little scared.”
However, it is one quote in particular that has become an ear worm sensation, even getting a number of remixes online.
“Coronavirus! Coronavirus! I’m telling you, sh-t is real!Sh-t is gettin’ real!”
Things may get increasingly bleak, but at least Cardi is out here inspiring amazing meme.s
