The hearing was sealed to the public and was attended by Britney's father Jamie, and her mother Lynne.

According to the documents, the judge asked Britney's lawyer to file his petition with the court by Septemeber 18, and any objections to the requests are filed by October 2.

We're told the petition will include removal of Jamie Spears as the conservator of Britney's finances and will ask to place a financial expert in to take his place.

We broke the story, Britney's lawyer filed documents claiming the pop star is alright with keeping her current personal conservator, Jodi Montgomery, in place -- at least until she decides whether or not to petition to be released from the conservatorship.

Britney Spears Is Asking Her Father Be Removed As Conservator!

As you know, there has been a HUGE spike in the #FreeBritney movement, a group that is fighting to have the pop princess released from the conservatorship. Several celebrities, including her ex-husband, has joined up with the movement.

It should be noted, one of the reasons Britney was first put under the conservatorship was her extreme issues with mental health. The pop star has been under the care of several doctors for the past decade, and most likely the judge will ask for a declaration from a medical professional that she is not a danger to herself or others.

But, members of her team say she is not in the position to care for herself.

Britney Spears To Ask For Major Changes In Her Conservatorship

Britney Spears has not yet made a formal request to be released from the conservatorship, and its possible she isn't going to ask for a FULL release.

Our sources say Britney wants her father removed from the situation, but also may ask for the restrictions on her life to be loosened up a bit. In other words, she may be fine with allowing the courts and her conservators to retain jurisdiction over her medical treatment and finances.

As we reported, Britney is upset with several restrictions including her ability to drive a car.

At this point, Britney has not made a formal request to end her conservatorship but is asking that the people involved in it be changed.
