Bravo fans are at their breaking point with the network and are begging them to fire “Real Housewives of Orange County” star Kelly Dodd and “Vanderpump Rules” star Jax Taylor after canning another star for racist comments. Their pleas come on the heels of the network announcing that they let go of “Below Deck Mediterranean” star Peter Hunziker after a racial post was exposed. Now, fans are demanding they take action against Kelly Dodd and Jax Taylor pointing out they have several examples of the stars using racial slurs.
On Wednesday, June 17, Bravo announced they were cutting ties with Peter Hunziker and taking appropriate measures to edit him out of the remaining season five episodes. “Peter Hunziker of Below Deck Mediterranean has been terminated for his racist post,” their statement read. “Bravo and 51 Minds are editing the show to minimize his appearance for subsequent episodes.” Bravo’s decision comes just one week after they canned Jax Taylor’s “Vanderpump Rules” co-stars Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens, and Brett Caprioni.
Following the announcement of Hunziker’s firing, angry fans are now demanding they take action against Kelly Dodd and Jax Taylor. “Do Kelly Dodd Next!” one person begged. “I support the firings. But we need to hold Jax Taylor, Kelly Dodd and many others accountable as well,” added another. “Why are Kelly Dodd and Jax still around these people need to go!!!!” questioned a third. “Waiting for Jax Taylor and Kelly Dodd’s termination,” shared another. The comments just keep on coming!
As The Blast reported, Stassi and Kristen were fired after a racially-charged incident against their former co-star Faith Stowers resurfaced. The ladies reported Stowers to the cops in 2018 claiming that she looked like another black woman who was wanted for robbery. While Stassi and Kristen apologized for their actions, Bravo released them from their duties after eight seasons on the hit show. Newcomers Max and Brett, who only appeared on this past season, were also axed after past racial Tweets were brought to light.
Now, fans are advocating for Bravo to make an example out of Kelly Dodd and Jax Taylor. Many are pointing out a paparazzi video from 2016 where an intoxicated Dodd tells the cameraman that she doesn’t like black guys. Fans are also angry about her “insensitive” and “tone-deaf” reactions to Coronavirus and the fallout after George Floyd‘s death. Even her former co-star Tamara Judge thinks the network needs to fire Kelly Dodd. As for Jax, many have pointed to several times he’s made sexist and homophobic remarks.
