Trebek, who is 79 years old, showed fans just how well he is doing following his four month treatment.

He appeared happy and spunky as he eased back into hosting.

"I truly hope you folks have enjoyed revisiting some of our special tournaments throughout this past summer," Trebek opened the show saying. "But today, Jeopardy! begins its 36th season on the air and I'm happy to report, I'm still here."

The TV icon recently went back to work filming the new season of the hit show.

As The Blast reported, Trebek appeared in a recent teaser revealing his chemotherapy was "over."

"It's another day at the office for me," he stated. "I've gone through a lot of chemotherapy, thankfully that is now over."

Revealing he was "on the mend," Trebek joked he was doing push-ups backstage.

Trebek made the announcement about his pancreatic cancer back in March, telling fans, "Just like 50,000 other people in the United States each year, this week I was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Now normally, the prognosis for this is not very encouraging, but I’m going to fight this, and I’m going to keep working.”

“And with the love and support of my family and friends and with the help of your prayers also, I plan to beat the low survival rate statistics for this disease," he added. "Truth told, I have to! Because under the terms of my contract, I have to host Jeopardy! for three more years."
