Cardi Scored Another Number One Hit In 2021
Cardi B has been winning big with her music as usual this year as well, as she earned another number one song, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This was her “Up” single, which was initially released in February, and debuted at number two. A month later, it finally climbed to the top spot, which officially became her fifth chart-topping song. The Wait Is On For Cardi’s Second Album
With having another number one hit, and giving birth to another child, the question is still on, regarding when Cardi B will finally release her sophomore album. The title and release date are still up in the air, as in the spring, Cardi told Jimmy Fallon that she just needed to finish a few more songs and music videos for this forthcoming project. It’s been over three years now, since Cardi’s debut studio album, “Invasion Of Privacy,” was released. That was a number one album, and is currently 3x platinum in the US. That contained her 2017 breakout hit single, “Bodak Yellow,” which went diamond this year, along with other big records, such as “I Like It,” featuring J Balvin and Bad Bunny, and “Be Careful.”
Cardi B And Offset Almost Divorced In 2020
Back in September 2020, Cardi B seemed like she was done, with her marriage to Offset. She file divorce paperwork in Georgia. At the time, she also wanted primary physical custody, of their daughter Kulture. Child support funds were also being requested, in these documents. Things seemed bleak for reconciliation, as in court, Cardi stated that “there are no prospects for a reconciliation.” No prenup appeared to be in place either, as Cardi wanted “an equitable division of all marital assets.” In October though, Offset was in Las Vegas with Cardi, for her birthday, and gifted her a Rolls Royce. They also shared a kiss that night, which signaled that their divorce wouldn’t happen. Cardi went on to withdraw the papers, at the end of that month.
