Octavia Spencer has a big case of keyboard warrior remorse.
The actress is taking a step back to reflect on her recent Instagram actions.
As The Blast previously reported, Britney Spears and Sam Asghari got engaged on Sunday, September 12 at the singer’s California home.
He popped the question with a 4-karat round brilliant stone in a platinum cathedral setting enhanced with a floating solitaire design. Asghari engraved his nickname for Britney, “Lioness,” on the inside of the band.
Many of the couple’s famous friends wished them happiness, congratulations and sent love, but there was one very OBVIOUS celebrity who sent a warning to Britney.
Rather than saying ‘congratulations,’ Octavia wrote, “Make him sign a prenup.”
Asghari saw the warning and reacted to it on his Instagram Story on the day of the engagement.
He let fans know, “Thank you everyone who is concerned about The prenup! Of course we’re getting iron clad prenup to protect my jeep and shoe collection incase she dumps me one day 😂😂.”
While Britney’s hubby-to-be seemed to laugh off the prenup trolling, the award-winning actress felt the need to follow-up with apologies.
Octavia posted a photo of Britney and Asghari to her actual Instagram grid. She wrote, “Y’all, a few days ago Sam and Britney announced their engagement and me being me I made a joke. My intention was to make them laugh not cause pain.”

“I’ve reached out to this lovely couple privately to apologize and now want to restore just a smidge of happiness they were robbed of,” her apology continued. “Britney’s fans have seen her through a lot of pain and she’s found happiness. We’re thrilled for her. So let’s show them love.”
Asghari responded to Octavia’s post writing, “You are very kind to clarify but i have no hard feelings whatsoever. Jokes and misconceptions come with the territory. 🙏 💯 ❤️.”
According to reports, Britney is getting a prenup. A day after she got engaged her team was already working on it.
Britney recently deleted her Instagram account for a 'fresh start' amid her ongoing conservatorship case.
According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, Britney has a hearing in two weeks and a judge will determine if Britney's 13-year conservatorship will come to an end.
