While many fans were rejoicing, there were some shouting a different sentiment from the rooftops.
One of those fans is award-winning actress Octavia Spencer.
The “Thunder Force” actress sent a very important message to Britney, “Make him sign a prenup.”
Someone else in Britney’s comments echoed Octavia’s thoughts writing, “so happy for you mama but please make sure y’all sign that prenup😘.”
Another wrote, “THIS IS A SONG ABOUT A GIRL NAMED PRENUPEY,” which is a play on words of Britney’s introduction to “Lucky.”
Clearly, fans are excited yet nervous for the newly engaged couple.
Sam was celebrating the engagement online and posted a slew of messages to his Instagram Story.
He wrote, “Biggest News….. Can’t wait to share,” followed by, “My phone exploded today! Thank you for the overwhelming love and congratulations! We both love every single one of you! 😍😍🥰.”
The personal trainer proceeded to repost Britney’s video compilation of her showing off the massive 4-karat diamond ring.
However, he did eventually get wind of the resounding concerns and decided to address the prenup problems head on.
Taking to his Instagram story late Sunday night he let fans know, “Thank you everyone who is concerned about The prenup! Of course we’re getting iron clad prenup to protect my jeep and shoe collection incase she dumps me one day 😂😂.”
Sam addresses prenup concerns!
Clearly Sam knows how to roll with the punches.
The Blast reported the couple got engaged on Sunday, September 12 at Britney’s home.
They have been together for nearly five years after meeting on the set of her music video for “Slumber Party” in October 2016.
Sam recalled meeting her during a 2018 interview with Men’s Health saying, “I was excited that I would get to meet one of the biggest artists of all time. I had butterflies.”
During a 2017 radio interview, Britney opened up about Sam and their first encounter.
“I found his number in my bag. I was like, ‘He is really cute. This guy is really cute,’ So then I called him, and ever since then, he is just a really fun, funny person.”
Sam has been by the “Baby One More Time” singer’s side throughout a good chunk of her conservatorship and even showed support for the “Free Britney” movement this past summer.
