Addison Rae has officially walked her first-ever Met Gala red carpet.
After weeks of rumors, the TikTok influencer was in fact invited to the big event, and Twitter was SHOOK.
The Blast previously reported that Addison and fellow influencer, Emma Chamberlain, faced major backlash after their names were rumored to be on the Met guest list.
Many fans were not excited at the fact not just the “He’s All That” actress was invited, but multiple social influencers were invited.
While Addison and Emma stayed mum on their attendee status, the for LSU student dropped several hints that she would be going.
She’s All That!
Last month Addison revealed to Variety that she had been emailing with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, who also curates the Met Gala guest list.
“I got an email from her and I was freaking out,” the 20-year-old said. “She was just saying thank you for something I sent over. It was wild. I was shaking. We emailed a little bit. It was exciting.”
Well, the time has come, the Met Gala is in full swing and Addison made her debut much to many people’s dismay.
While the Met red carpet welcomed her with open arms, Twitter felt differently.

Addison wore a red corseted silk dress which is reportedly from 2003, which she called “vintage” during an interview on the carpet.
One fan did NOT take kindly to this dig tweeting, “Addison Rae calling a 2003 dress vintage hurt me more than I care to admit.”

Addison’s dress came under fire as well with many comparing it to something you could buy online.
“If you told me Addison rae was actually wearing shein to the damn met gala I would believe you. Cause what is this?” one person tweeted.
