Amanda Bynes will officially remain under a legal conservatorship for the next several years, following a stint in a psychiatric facility.

According to new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the judge in Amanda's conservatorship received and read a report given to the court by her legal team -- and decided the 'What A Girl Wants' actress should remain under the watchful eye of the court and doctors until January of 2023.

The details surrounding the decision are under seal, and so is the report which details the up-to-date information on her condition and treatment.

As we reported, Amanda is coming off of an intense 2020, which included an announcement of her first pregnancy with a boyfriend she met in a rehabilitation center -- and another stint inside of a psychiatric facility. Back in March, Amanda announced the pregnancy, posting a picture of a sonogram dated March 17 -- bearing her name -- saying "Baby on board!"

At the time, sources connected to the situation told us...she was indeed pregnant and informed her family just weeks after finding out she was expecting. At the same time, Bynes was on lockdown inside a Pasadena psychiatric facility and was receiving treatment for at least 30 days. As you can imagine, the family was worried a pregnancy might add another stressor to a situation that was already rough, to begin with.

According to reports, the actress was no longer pregnant, but no explanation was given for the situation.

Amanda is still with her boyfriend, Paul Michael, and the two are engaged to be married. "Their relationship right now is in a good healthy place, a source told E!" At the same time, Amanda has reportedly mended the relationship with her parents. "The shift in her relationship with her parents really had a lot to do with the pandemic. The quarantine process cause everyone to not see their elderly parent for a while and Amanda was no different," a source told the outlet.

Adding, "At the same time, it really made her appreciate her loved ones even more. So when they were finally able to see each other again, they were able to spend that quality time together and that strengthened their bond a lot."

Details of Amanda's treatment and ongoing conservatorship are not part of the public record, and she did not appear at the latest hearing in her ongoing case. According to the order, a status report was given to the judge who signed off on extending the conservatorship until 2023.

Lately, Bynes has been studying to complete a bachelor's degree at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles.

The conservatorship extension comes at an interesting time while another A-list child star is preparing to get out of her long-running conservatorship. Britney Spears and Amanda Bynes are from the same generation of massive Hollywood stars, and the 'Toxic' singer is preparing to get out of her legal case. As we reported, Britney is newly engaged and has a hearing later this month which might be the beginning to the end of her conservatorship.
