Has Dua Lipa been CUT from this year’s star-studded Met Gala lineup?
Did Anna Wintour tell Dua, “Don’t show up, don’t come out, don’t start caring about me now!”
Well, not exactly. But it has been confirmed Dua will be sitting out this year’s Met ball.

The “Levitating” singer is expanding her career horizons and will be starring in the upcoming action thriller, “Argyle.”
So, while the most famous of famous celebrities are walking the coveted Met red carpet, Dua will be kicking a** and taking names while filming.
Basically, what we are saying is, the singer-turned-actress will be filming her first-ever film on the evening of the ball.

This acting gig is a MAJOR deal given the star-studded lineup. Dua will be acting alongside the likes of Samuel L. Jackson, Henry Cavill, Bryan Cranston, Bryce Dallas Howard, John Cena, Sam Rockwell and Catherine O'Hara.
The biggest night in fashion was canceled last year due to the Coronavirus, so you can bet your bottom dollar Ms. Wintour will be going all out this year, even if that means ruffling a few feathers.
It’s been rumored there will be a handful of influencers invited to the big event on September 13 including Emma Chamberlain, Addison Rae and the D’Amelio sisters.
Addison seemingly responded to the rumors by retweeting a meme that hinted she would be mistaken for a waiter.
News of influencers infiltrating the Met Gala has a TON of people upset; however, this isn’t the first time social media stars have been invited to the grand event.
In 2019, James Charles and Liza Koshy were among the attendees. Liza even hosted Vogue’s Met Gala red carpet coverage.

Many feel the annual Gala is losing its prestige, if you will, with the new breed of “celebrities” getting an invite.
One person tweeted, “A good example of white privilege is Addison Rae, Charli and Dixie D’Amelio being invited to the Met Gala.
Another expressed their distaste tweeting, “Also, Charli D’Amelio? Why are they invited to the MET Gala in the first place?”
Celebrities rumored to be attending this year’s event include Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, Shawn Mendes, Rosalía, Rihanna, Harry Styles and more.
Mendes’ girlfriend, Camila Cabello, confirmed she would be in attendance during an interview with Access Hollywood at the “Cinderella” premiere.
