Britney Spears can breathe a massive sigh of relief!
The singer was recently accused of hitting a phone out of her housekeeper’s hand after she threatened to call the police over animal endangerment.
The Blast has been covering this NEW drama since day one.
Last month we reported that Britney’s housekeeper received ‘no injuries’ during the phone slapping incident, according to police, but Brit was still under criminal investigation for the incident.

According to the police report, obtained by The Blast, Britney’s housekeeper who is listed as a “staff” member was uninjured during the altercation where she claimed the pop star slapped a phone out of her hands. In a narrative of the incident, Ventura County Sheriff’s Department confirms they received a call on the morning of August 16, with a report Ms. Spears had “struck” her housekeeper.
Then on August 27, The Blast reported that the “Toxic” singer could be facing criminal charges after the Sheriff’s Department decided to forward the case to the District Attorney’s Office.
It seems the DA’s office couldn’t be bothered with the case, because on Wednesday the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office announced it had declined to file charges against the pop princess.

PageSix exclusively learned, “Britney is relieved to put this behind her.”
A source told the outlet, “The entire ‘incident’ — if you can even call it that — was blown out of proportion. It should never have been made into a big to-do, and the folks at the DA’s office should not have had to waste their time and resources investigating it.”
They added, “That said, Britney understood that due diligence had to be performed once the complaint was made, and she was willing to cooperate to clear her name.”
DA Erik Nasarenko concluded there was “insufficient evidence that a crime had occurred.”
“Britney is grateful for the outcome and wants to move on so that she can focus on the bigger issue at hand: ending her father’s incessant control over her,” the source stated.
Now it's time to get back to her conservatorship battle!
As many Britney fans know, she has been wrapped up in a 13-year-long conservatorship battle. Britney has scored multiple legal victories in the battle this summer alone, but she and her legal team still have a long way to go.
Jamie Spears agreed to step down as conservator in early August; however, he did not give a timetable for his resignation.
