"Jersey Shore" fans have been hitting out at the show for increased cliche and boring episodes in recent months. However, the reality show has continued to press on, and attract more discussions on social media spaces.
This time around, it seems like the viewers of this show have one more discussion to ponder on, a former cast member, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro's ex-partner, Jenn Harley, stands the chance to face jail time, following an assault charge. The former girlfriend of the television personality's star was formally charged with two counts stemming from her previous arrests in June. According to reports, the charges can be really serious.
The counts involved alleged battery constituting domestic violence, and assault with a deadly weapon involving domestic violence.
The Instagram model, who shares a 3-year-old daughter, Ariana, with ex Ronnie, was arraigned on the charges in a Nevada court this week. She came out of police custody and was booked at the Clark County Detention Center with her bail set at $5000.
Back Story
After separating from Ronnie, Harley made a cameo appearance in the "Jenny Shore'' show, then returned to real estate which was her former source of livelihood.
Sadly, it was not so long before she went back to her habits and got into another fiasco. In June, the 33-year-old MTV personality was arrested for domestic battery when she allegedly raised a gun at her boyfriend, Joseph Ambrose, called him the n-word, and even threatened to kill him. Reports revealed that they initially got into an argument at a strip club and were asked to leave.
During the car ride home, it was reported that Harley threw Ambrosole's phone out of the car and when he got down to take it, she zoomed off and left him to get himself home. Once he got home, she pointed a gun at him and threatened to kill him. A month later, Harley checked herself into a rehab to seek treatment for alcohol dependence.
"She made the decision to get help because she wants to be the best parent she can be for her children," her representative noted at the time. She was allegedly clean following a 28-day stint.
According to TMZ, she was looking forward to a "fresh start." There are more reports that posited Ambrosole suffered visible injuries during the altercation. Harley's trial is set to take place in September and since she has a long history of violent and erratic behavior, as she once dragged Ronnie out a car and threw an ashtray at him.
Alleged Innocence
The model’s attorney denied all the allegations laid against her client. In a statement to E! News, she mentioned, "We believe the charges are unsubstantiated and that overwhelming mitigating evidence exists that Jen did not commit any crime," she continued.

"We look forward to our day in court and having all charges against Ms. Harley dismissed."
Apparently, it's only the attorney that thought this way, because regarding the criminal division of the Las Vegas Justice Court, the state has not filed charges yet, and Harley has two upcoming court dates slated for August 18 and 19 for each case.
Media outlets reached out to Harley's attorney and manager, for comments regarding her client and what is going on with her now, the attorney has kept quiet ever since.
Reactions from Ronnie
While Harley wallowed deeper into a calamity of luminal woes, the now-former "Jersey Shore" star prepared to wed his fiancée Saffire Matos. It’s too much of a coincidence that Ronnie proposed to his girlfriend on the same day of Harley's arrest.
Thai company, from "Event Factory," an event planning company, said the details of the romantic moment involved "red rose petals on the sand and the marry me letters." This continued saying, "They had sushi from a private chef and non-alcoholic champagne. He hired a videographer to get the entire experience and he popped the question during the romantic photoshoot."
Although the love birds hit a dead-end regarding their relationship last fall on the premise of domestic violence, as an allegation ensued stating that Ronnie was arrested for hitting Matos-- they are back in full force and on their way to the aisle. The counts were dropped on the premise that they'd be dealt with accordingly. Prior to this, Ronnie took a break from "Jersey Shore" to work on his mental health. His lawyers explained that he would get mental treatment for "psychological issues that he has ignored for a long time," adding that "his only present goal is to address these issues professionally and make himself a better person and the best father he can be to his loving daughter."
After his engagement, the insider reported that "he has been working hard on his mental health and has finished his program at the health and wellness center that he was spending time at." The source also noted that Matos was very supportive and she looked forward to this new phase of their journey.
Harley's Daughter Hanging In The Balance
Harley is in a very uncomfortable situation that doesn't seem like it will end on a good note. Among the things that could happen to her if the judge finds her guilty of the crime is— she goes to jail or lose custody of her children.
The model has two kids, who may or may not be able to see their mom, except through a transparent glass, as things aren't looking so good for her.

All thoughts and prayers go to Harley's 3-year-old daughter, Ariana, and her son whom she had from a previous relationship, as it’s likely that she loses custody of her children in addition to going to jail.
We wish them the best.
