“Better Call Saul” star Bob Odenkirk is looking at the world through rose-colored glasses after coming back from a medical emergency and the star is revealing that his inner circle is making him feel very well-loved.
Odenkirk took to social media late Friday evening with an update to fans about his recovery, following a scary collapse on set in New Mexico while filming scenes for the upcoming and final season of “Better Call Saul.”
‘It’s a Wonderful Life’
Bob Odenkirk admitted that he feels a bit like Jimmy Stewart, as everyone has been letting him know how much he means to the world following his heart attack.
“I am doing great. I’ve had my very own ‘It’s a wonderful life’ week of people insisting I make the world slightly better,” the star wrote in reference to the classic 1946 Christmas tale.
Odenkirk added, “Wow! Thank you, I love everyone right now but let’s keep expectations reasonable!”
Everyone Was Worried
It was only days ago that many of Bob Odenkirk’s colleagues and former co-stars were praying for his recovery after learning that he had collapsed on the set of “Better Call Saul” while filming in New Mexico.
One of the stars leading the charge on sending good vibes to Odenkirk was his former “Breaking Bad” star, Bryan Cranston.

“My friend, Bob Odenkirk collapsed last night on the set of Better Call Saul. He is in the hospital in Albuquerque and receiving the medical attention he needs but his condition is not known to the public as yet,” Cranston wrote on Instagram immediately after Odenkirk’s medical emergency.
Sharing an on-set photo of the two from the “BB” days, Cranston wrote, “Please take a moment in your day today to think about him and send positive thoughts and prayers his way, thank you.”
‘I Feel the Love’
In the midst of the panic, Bob Odenkirk was able to pull through and later updated fans as he began his work on the road to recovery.
“Hi. It’s Bob. Thank you. To my family and friends who have surrounded me this week. And for the outpouring of love from everyone who expressed concern and care for me. It’s overwhelming. But I feel the love and it means so much,” the star wrote on social media at the end of July.
Odenkirk did not hold back and explained the situation to the world:
“I had a small heart attack. But I’m going to be ok thanks to Rosa Estrada and the doctors who knew how to fix the blockage without surgery. Also, AMC and SONYs support and help throughout this has been next-level. I’m going to take a beat to recover but I’ll be back soon.”
