Nicki Minaj might not have been able to sing “Happy Birthday” to President Donald Trump, but she channeled her inner Marilyn Monroe.
The controversial rapper paid tribute to Trump on the occasion of his 80th birthday, using AI to create photos that celebrate the bond she shares with the world leader.
However, fans didn’t approve of the message, suspecting that Minaj has a hidden agenda.

The “Anaconda” rapper took to X to share a series of AI-generated images to commemorate Trump’s special day. The first slide showed Minaj dressed as Marilyn Monroe when she sang her iconic “Happy Birthday” tune to late President John F. Kennedy in 1962.
The artist rocked a blonde wig like the late Monroe over a halter-neck white dress as she held on to the smiling president. In another snapshot, Trump and Minaj seemed like close pals wearing matching black hoodies. “Real recognize real,” she wrote across the image.
Included in the upload was a photo of Minaj and the president from the “Trump Account Summit” in Washington, D.C., earlier this year, while the final slide featured Elon Musk and Sydney Sweeney.
The foursome was seen wearing matching pink attire and seated in a luxury car as they posed playfully. “Happy 80th birthday, Mr. President,” Minaj captioned the post.

Unfortunately, not many loved the lengths Minaj went to show her appreciation for Trump, calling her desperate for attention.
“Idk what’s worse: your support for predators or that you had to use AI to have a picture with him,” one fan slammed.
Another comment read, “This is the most low-class hillbilly ratchet bullsh-t I’ve ever seen in my life,” while this user wrote, “God, you’re gross. Not a shred of integrity or dignity left.”
A fourth remark suggested Minaj was hoping her support for Trump would get her husband’s sex offender status removed. “You must be tryna get a pardon for someone. This level of glazing must be studied,” it read.
Others suggested the absurdity of the pictures suggested something more sinister was going on between Trump and Minaj. “Is she imagining that she and Donald are a thing? All these pictures look like she has a crush on him,” this fan observed.

With Hollywood divided over Trump’s leadership, Minaj has firmly planted herself on the side of the Republican leader, revealing that Governor Gavin Newsom caused the allegiance.
As The Blast reported, the 43-year-old, in an interview, admitted she had always rooted for Trump but was fearful to be public with it.
“It’s been ingrained in everyone’s brain in the music business that we are supposed to be a Democratic family. I just knew they would not like me supporting Trump,” she confessed.
However, the turning point came when she suffered a swatting experience and reached out to Gov. Newsom for help, and he ignored her.
Finally, help came through Republican Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna, pushing Minaj to come out with her truth. “That’s what made me say that I don’t care to keep this a secret anymore,” she recalled.

Despite the backlash Minaj received for her support of Trump, she clearly has the backing of the president.
The mutual respect between the pair was on display in February when the “Super Bass” singer revealed a personal gift from the world leader.
According to The Blast, Minaj posted a photo of a signed Bible she received from Trump on social media, calling it “one of the most meaningful gifts” she had ever gotten.
The religious book retails for $1,000 and features the president’s signature boldly displayed in the middle.

With approval from Trump, Minaj has continued to double down on her “MAGA” allegiance. Such was the case in January when she took to the stage at the “Trump Account Summit.”
Declaring her loyalty to the entrepreneur-turned-president, Minaj said, “Well, I don’t know what to say, but I will say that I am probably the president’s no. 1 fan. And that’s not going to change.”
Per The Blast, the Trinidad native vowed to protect Trump from trolls, saying the criticism she gets only makes her “support him more.”
