Spencer Pratt is raising questions after a fire broke out at his California crystal business just days after his Los Angeles mayoral campaign came to an end. The former “Hills” star is now suggesting the blaze may not have been accidental, claiming the timing is “very suspicious” following what he described as weeks of political tension surrounding the race. The fire reportedly erupted Thursday afternoon at Spencer Pratt’s company office in the Pacific Palisades, prompting a response from multiple Los Angeles Fire Department units.

According to reports, firefighters rushed to the Highlands Circle complex on Palisades Drive after flames broke out inside the building housing Pratt’s crystal business, Pratt Daddy. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident, and authorities have not publicly determined a cause. The Los Angeles Fire Department later confirmed that its arson division had been notified as part of the investigation.

The building where the fire occurred reportedly also once housed local restaurant Cosa Nostra, which had previously sustained damage during the devastating Palisades Fire and was undergoing renovations at the time of the latest incident.

Spencer Pratt, however, is already questioning whether the timing of the fire is merely a coincidence. After recently exiting the Los Angeles mayoral race, the reality television personality suggested the incident could somehow be tied to local politics.

“I want to be careful not to compromise an arson investigation, but this incident is very suspicious,” Pratt said. “I will wait for investigators to make public the details, but this was no accident and the timing of this on the heels of all of the contentious election tomfoolery in the last two weeks, it is very suspect, indeed.”

The former reality star also expressed appreciation for firefighters who responded quickly to contain the blaze.

Spencer Pratt went a step further, suggesting he believes his outspoken criticism of Los Angeles political figures may have made him a target.

“There are many unscrupulous people in this city who will stop at nothing to silence people who expose the corruption that has overrun our city,” the former reality star said. “This fire is no accident, and it would not surprise me if the least if [sic] this were a reprisal for my work in opposing Karen Bass and Nithya Raman, and having the audacity as a civilian to try and do my civic duty and improve our broken city.”

The comments came just hours after Pratt posted a dramatic video on X in which he vowed to go to “war” with remaining Los Angeles mayoral candidates Karen Bass and Nithya Raman. In the clip, he also claimed to possess a secret recording that he alleged could force both candidates to resign if released.

In a video posted to social media following the primary election, the former reality star reacted to the loss with a warning about the city’s future. “You have no idea how bad things are about to get for the city,” Pratt said in the clip, which he captioned “Saving LA-Phase III.”

Despite falling short in the race, Pratt insisted he is not leaving Los Angeles and plans to remain politically active. “You thought you could get rid of me that easily?” Spencer Pratt said. “I didn’t get in this for political power, I got in this to expose this corrupt machine and nothing’s changed.”

He later added, “And now I don’t have to worry about offending CNN viewers. I don’t have a campaign to hamstring me now. It’s war.”

Outside of politics, the former reality star has operated his crystal business, Pratt Daddy, since 2017. The company sells hand-cut crystals and gemstones, something Pratt says he became passionate about after his wife, Heidi Montag, experienced severe pain following multiple surgeries.

According to the company’s website, Spencer Pratt turned to alternative healing methods while helping care for Montag, eventually developing an interest in crystals, including Sugilite, described as a “rare purple mineral that emanates peace and beauty.”
