Spencer Pratt appears to be having a hard time coming to terms with his possible loss in the Los Angeles mayoral race.

The former reality TV star took to social media with a series of posts hinting that something was happening behind the scenes to stop his campaign for mayor.

However, his words sparked mixed reactions from fans, with some urging Spencer Pratt to accept his defeat with grace.

Pratt recently updated his Instagram page with a photo expressing his feelings about Nithya Raman’s sudden surge in votes. He shared an image from the movie “A Beautiful Mind,” in which actor Russell Crowe’s character stares out a window covered in complex mathematical equations.

“Me trying to figure out how votes get counted in LA,” Pratt’s sarcastic caption read, implying that there might be something shady happening with Raman’s recent rise to second place in the race. He had initially held the spot behind incumbent mayor Karen Bass.

Pratt’s suspicions continued on his Instagram Stories, with one post capturing Raman in tears, alongside his belief that he was claiming the mayor title. “Remember everyone…we are still in the lead, and we’ve got allIII the way till July 6th to keep counting,” Pratt wrote, adding:

“They’re not the only ones who know where to find votes.”

Pratt kept implying that the votes were rigged in another post, sharing a screenshot of his comments on X. In the picture, Pratt noted that Raman saw “a net swing of more than 43,000 votes since Tuesday.”

He sarcastically added that the number seemed familiar before referencing an article about homelessness in L.A. In the report, it stated that around 43,699 people experience homelessness in Los Angeles, which implied Pratt believed the unhoused population turned the voting tide in Raman’s favor.

Under his posts, fans made their voices heard, with one fan dubbing Pratt a “Temu Trump.” Actor Philip Labes slammed Pratt’s hidden-agenda thinking, writing, “Everything is a conspiracy when you don’t care enough to learn how things work.” Another critic agreed, urging Pratt not to be a conspiracy theorist.

The criticism continued, with one Instagram user calling Pratt out for being hypocritical. He had previously stated in an interview that if he lost the mayoral race, he would see it as God’s will, but the critic slammed him for suddenly changing his tune.

“Lol, if I lose it’s rigged, if I win it’s God’s will,” the critic mocked him. Another hoped Pratt would honor his promise of leaving L.A. if he lost the mayoral race, writing, “Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on your way out of LA.”

On the other hand, Pratt’s supporters believed his conspiracy theory and agreed that the voting was rigged against him. “The corruption runs deep in California, by design,” someone claimed. A fellow supporter agreed, claiming the forces against Pratt did not want him to save L.A.

Pratt getting dubbed as “Temu Trump” isn’t surprising, given the president’s support for the former reality TV star in the mayoral race. After Raman’s sudden rise to second place, Trump made his feelings clear on his Truth Social platform with a heated post about the alleged rigging.

“Has anybody been watching the CROOKED Election going on in California. Two great Republican Candidates are being cheated, and so is America,” Trump wrote, referencing Pratt and California gubernatorial hopeful Steve Hilton.

Trump blamed the lack of support for Pratt and Hilton on the Democrats, aka “the Dumocrats,” claiming they must be stopped from creating “great trouble and consternation.” The president signed off by urging citizens to watch the election closely.

While Trump believes Pratt is the right man to become LA’s next mayor, the same cannot be said for incumbent mayor Karen Bass. The Blast covered her thoughts on Pratt ahead of the polls, reporting that she did not believe he was worthy to sit in her position.

Bass slammed Pratt as “a reality star with no track record,” wondering if he had worked anywhere other than reality TV. She argued that voters didn’t have much of a choice to begin with, stating their options were between someone with experience and “a reality TV star villain.”

The shots continued, with Bass citing her achievements in office while bashing Pratt as someone who had not devoted his life to helping others or bringing about significant changes. She added that she was not worried about him gaining momentum in the polls, and her words appear to be right on the mark.
