On May 20, Vanessa Trump took to Instagram to share her diagnosis with her followers. “I want to share a personal health update,” she wrote in the candid message. “I’ve recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.”

“While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan,” she continued. “I would like to thank my doctors for performing a procedure earlier this week on me.”

“I am staying hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids, and those closest to me,” she added. “Thank you for your kindness and support it truly means more than I can express. I kindly ask for privacy as I focus on my health and recovery.”

Vanessa Trump Is Supporting Tiger Woods Amid His Recovery

In late March, golfer Tiger Woods was involved in a DUI arrest rollover crash near Jupiter Island, Florida, where he lives. The former model has been dating the golfer for over a year. A source told PEOPLE magazine that “She is very supportive of his golf endeavors because, despite his age and injuries, golf dominates Tiger’s life.”

“They are good together as they both have golf in their lives. That propels the romance in a certain sense,” the source continued. Both of Trump’s daughters, Kai, 18, and Chloe, 11, play golf as well. Vanessa shares her two daughters, along with sons Donald III, 17, Tristan, 14, and Spencer, 13, with ex-husband Donald Trump Jr. 

Woods, meanwhile, shares son Charlie Axel, 17, and daughter Sam Alexis, 18, with his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren.

Vanessa ‘Has Her Hands Full Sometimes’ Caring For Woods

Woods has suffered through several health struggles over the years. He underwent his seventh back surgery last fall and ruptured his Achilles tendon a year ago. One source told the publication that the pro golfer can be “difficult to be around” because of the pain he experiences.

“She has her hands full sometimes, but Vanessa also has a life of her own and children to care for so she isn’t around it all the time,” the insider said. “She is happy with him and any issues they have are not about her. It’s dealing with his frustrations about playing great golf and his pain that at some times is really confining.”

Woods returned to the green just three days before his DUI arrest, after playing four full rounds of golf in April 2024 at The Masters.
