Spencer Pratt’s unlikely run for Los Angeles mayor is suddenly attracting serious attention from Hollywood heavyweights and reality television stars alike.
The former “The Hills” personality has gone from political outsider to one of the most talked-about candidates in the race after a viral debate performance and a growing list of celebrity endorsements boosted his campaign at a crucial moment.
Spencer Pratt Receives Star-Studded Support In LA
Spencer Pratt’s campaign picked up another major boost this week when legendary music producer David Foster and his wife, Katharine McPhee, hosted a lavish fundraiser for him at their Brentwood mansion.
The event reportedly drew a crowd packed with entertainment industry figures, including Hollywood producer Brian Grazer, according to Vanity Fair.
McPhee even performed during the gathering while Foster accompanied her on keyboard.
In clips shared online by One America News Network anchor Alicia Summers, McPhee sang a modified version of Tina Turner’s “The Best,” jokingly praising Pratt as “better than Karen Bass and Nithya Raman.”
During one moment, however, McPhee accidentally referred to Raman as “Cynthia” before quickly laughing off the mistake.
“I called her Cynthia,” she admitted while Pratt simply shrugged nearby.
The support appeared meaningful for Pratt, who previously wrote about admiring Foster in his memoir “The Guy You Loved to Hate.”
The reality television star recalled growing up watching the famed composer perform and described him as the GOAT, or greatest of all time.
Spencer Pratt’s Debate Performance Changed The Race
The sudden surge in celebrity backing comes shortly after Pratt delivered what many supporters considered a breakout debate performance against incumbent mayor Karen Bass and city councilwoman Nithya Raman.
According to NBC polling cited in reports, 79% of viewers declared Pratt the winner of the debate.
His aggressive style and blunt remarks quickly spread online, especially after he dismissed Raman as a “random city council member” during one heated exchange.
The comment rapidly went viral across social media and became one of the most discussed moments of the campaign.
Pratt later doubled down on his criticism while discussing the election dynamics.
“All the unions support Mayor Bass,” he said. “You think it’s easier to run against the incumbent mayor with all the unions, or a random city council member who has been a failure for six years?”
The growing attention appears to have translated into momentum for his campaign.
As at the time of writing this report, prediction market site Kalshi now reportedly gives Pratt a 25% chance of winning the mayor’s race, overtaking Raman, who sits at 17%.
Bass still leads the field with 62% support, but Pratt’s odds have more than doubled in recent weeks as election day approaches.
Celebrity Endorsements Continue Flooding In

The list of celebrities publicly supporting Spencer Pratt has continued growing as the race intensifies.
Among the biggest names backing him are Paris Hilton, Joe Rogan, and Meghan McCain.
Several of Pratt’s former “The Hills” castmates have also rallied behind him, including Kristin Cavallari, Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner, and Brandon Thomas Lee.
His wife, Heidi Montag has become one of the campaign’s most vocal supporters as well.
Another surprising endorsement came from “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” personality, Mauricio Umansky.
During a Fox News appearance on Wednesday, Umansky explained why he believed Pratt deserved support.
“He wants to make L.A. great, and make it what it used to be,” the real estate broker said.
The endorsement wave has helped push Pratt further into mainstream political conversation despite many initially dismissing his candidacy as little more than a publicity stunt.
Now, with voting only weeks away, his campaign appears to be gaining traction at exactly the right time.
Pratt Fueled Campaign After Wildfire Loss

Spencer Pratt’s political ambitions reportedly intensified after the devastating Los Angeles wildfires that destroyed his $3.8 million home last year.
The former reality television star became one of the loudest critics of Mayor Bass following the disaster, accusing city leadership of mishandling the emergency response.
The fires reportedly destroyed more than 11,000 structures and caused billions of dollars in damage across the region.
Pratt has repeatedly pointed to the crisis as a major reason he entered politics.
His campaign has since focused heavily on frustration over homelessness, drug use, and what he views as declining conditions across Los Angeles.
Although Pratt officially registered as a Republican, he has insisted his campaign is not centered around political party loyalty.
Instead, he claims his focus remains on fixing citywide issues and challenging the current political establishment.
Questions Continue Surrounding Spencer Pratt’s Political Future

Despite his growing momentum, questions remain about whether Pratt can actually turn internet buzz and celebrity support into real votes.
Some critics still view his campaign as unconventional entertainment rather than a serious political movement.
Others argue his social media popularity and reality television background may resonate with frustrated voters tired of traditional politicians.
Either way, Pratt’s campaign has undeniably become one of the most unpredictable stories in the Los Angeles mayoral race.
With election day set for June 2, his sudden rise has already disrupted expectations surrounding the contest.
Whether the celebrity endorsements, viral debate moments, and anti-establishment messaging will be enough to seriously threaten Bass remains unclear.
Still, Pratt’s campaign no longer looks like a joke to many observers.
Instead, it has become one of the biggest wild cards in Los Angeles politics this year.
