Kirsten Storms has gotten the attention of the authorities.

The authorities are not sleeping on the “General Hospital” star’s recent claims that her privacy had been compromised. This comes after her ex-husband, Brandon Barash, alleged that she had been exhibiting some very upsetting behaviors, citing his worries about the well-being of their daughter, Harper Rose.

Kirsten Storms and Brandon Barash met on the set of “General Hospital” and kindled a romantic relationship, which they kept private till 2013 when they tied the knot. They welcomed their daughter the following year and divorced in 2016 due to irreconcilable differences.

Kirsten Storms’ Claims Sparks ‘Active Investigation’

The TV star’s claims that her phone was hacked have come to the notice of the authorities, and investigations have reportedly kicked off. A rep for the Franklin Police Department in Tennessee spoke to TMZ, saying, “I can confirm that there is an active investigation as it pertains to her case.” 

The investigations are tailored to shed light on the actress’s claims that unknown third parties are spying on her devices. Storms revealed her fears about the phone hack in a video uploaded to Instagram on April 9.

She said that she noticed her devices were hacked after she moved into a new apartment at the Legacy Cold Springs building in Franklin. Updating her fans, Storms said that whenever she connected her phone to the WiFi, she would notice that some of her emails, videos, and pictures were being deleted.

The Actress’s Ex Filed For A Restraining Order Against Her

Late last year, Barash filed a protective order against his ex, noting in court documents that she was acting odd. He claimed that Storms had not maintained a steady presence at home with their daughter and that he was deeply concerned about Harper being in her care.

The actor claimed that his former lover had been bouncing from hotels to friends’ homes to apartments between September 2024 and June 2025. He also believed she had been experiencing “delusions and hallucinations” in mid 2025, as she claimed that her reason for changing residence sporadically was that people were stalking her and Harper. He further alleged that one of Storms’ friends told him she believed his ex was abusing Adderall.

Based on his claims, the judge granted the request for a temporary restraining order and also found that there was evidence that the “General Hospital” star was having a mental health crisis. Ultimately, the judge allowed her to have supervised visitation with her daughter until a future hearing. At the same time, the actor asked that the court order Storms to go in for a compulsory mental health evaluation.  

Brandon Barash Revealed His Ex Was Placed On Psychiatric Hold

Barash cited more instances of his ex’s instability, stressing that he doubts her ability to care for their daughter adequately. He disclosed in legal documents that Storms’ car was on the verge of repossession, and he had to loan her $5,000, which she has yet to repay. The actor also noted that her need for money raised eyebrows as she is a well-paid actress with several TV roles; hence, money should be the least of her issues.

The TV personality revealed that there was an instance where Storms admitted that she was not fit to have their daughter in her care, as she was in the middle of her own personal battles. In May 2025, when she reached out to Barash about her delusions and hallucinations, his current wife, Isabella Devoto, was the one who helped the actress to the nearest hospital, where she was placed on a psychiatric hold.

The Blast reported that, according to Barash, after she was released from the hold, she acted as if nothing had happened. He said things got better for a short time, but then reversed. Storms allegedly called her ex to tell him that people were breaking into her apartment, removing things, and placing them in her car. She continued having repeated mental breakdown episodes and hearing voices that were not there.

Inside The Former Lovebirds’ Relationship

The pair met in 2007 when Barash joined the cast of the American drama TV show as Jonny Zacchara, while Stoms was playing Maxie Jones, and soon became friends. They kept their relationship away from the public eye till a rep for the actress confirmed to US Weekly that they had secretly tied the knot in June 2013.

Storms revealed in a later interview that they were platonic friends and “never hooked up” for seven years before they started dating. In January 2014, they welcomed their daughter, announcing her birth in a social media post. Two years later, in April 2016, Barash revealed that it was the end of the road for him and his former partner, stressing that they intended to focus on coparenting Harper and retaining their friendship in a healthy environment.

“We are splitting due to the cliché irreconcilable differences, but we’re splitting amicably,” he said at the time, adding, “This was not a hasty decision; a lot of thought and therapy went into this. We’ve decided that raising our daughter in two separate homes would be a healthier choice for all of us.” Storms echoed similar thoughts on the “State of Mind” podcast in April 2022 when she admitted the emotional toll their divorce had taken on Harper. The actress reiterated that they love their child and will continue to put her first.

On December 17, 2022, Barash tied the knot with the new love of his life, Isabella Devoto, in a “Great Gatsby” inspired ceremony at the North Ranch Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California. Harper was included in the ceremony as a flower girl and junior bridesmaid.

Barash told PEOPLE that Harper was the brains behind his relationship with his current partner, disclosing that they had a relationship before he came into the picture, and his then-5-year-old played matchmaker for him and Devoto. According to him, Harper will say, “Hey, Daddy, you and Isa,… well, you guys just seem like you would be really great together as boyfriend and girlfriend.”

The actor also shared that he was excited for his nuptials, but mostly for the vow exchange when they would say “I do.” He emphasized that, more than the party, dancing, eating, and drinking, proclaiming his love for Devoto was the most important part of their ceremony.
