A judge has addressed “General Hospital” star Kirsten Storms‘ ex-husband’s concerns!
The actress ex claimed that she had been exhibiting some very upsetting behaviors, which may jeopardize the well-being of their child, who is with her.
Kristen Storms and Brandon Barash separated in 2016 due to irreconcilable differences, three years after they got married. In recent times, the actors have relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, to continue co-parenting their teenage daughter.
Kirsten Storms Ex Secured A Restraining Order Against Her

The actress’s ex declared to a judge that he no longer trusts his former partner with the safety of their daughter, and it has become imperative for him to secure an emergency restraining order against her. Barash got his wish approved by a judge after he detailed several instances of development that took place after they both moved to Tennessee to focus on co-parenting their child.
According to Barash, Kirsten’s father sued her for eviction, adding to the recurrent theme of instability in her life. He stressed that Storms went on an apartment changing spree between September 2024 and June of 2025, either staying in hotels or putting up with friends for a short period of time. Barash stated that his estranged wife would blame her instability on people allegedly stalking her and the child.
The actor continued that aside from his estranged wife’s housing problems, her car is also on the verge of repossession, and he has had to loan her $5,000, which she has yet to repay. As shared by TMZ, Barash hammered that Storms’s instability, among other issues, made him doubt her ability to give adequate care to their teenage daughter.
Brandon Barash Detailed His Current Wife’s Efforts At Helping The Actress Get Better

The TV personality continued in his filing that his estranged wife is a well-paid actress with several roles on television, which meant money should not be a problem. He recalled Storms reaching out to him in May 2025 about experiencing delusions and hallucinations.
Barash added that his estranged wife even told him that she was not fit to have the child over for parenting time following her struggles. The actor revealed that his current wife was the one who helped Storms head to the nearest hospital, where she was placed on a psychiatric hold.
He noted that as soon as she was released from the hold, she acted as if nothing had happened, and a few months after her initial report, she also called him. In the conversation, Storms reportedly told him people were breaking into her apartment, removing things, and placing them into her car.
Barash added that one of Storm’s friends also told him she believes the actress is abusing harmful substances like Adderall, alongside repeated episodes of mental breakdowns, and hearing voices that are not there. As a result of these instances, the actor asked that the court order Storms to go in for a compulsory mental health evaluation.
Inside Brandon Barash And Kirsten Storms’ Relationship
The duo met on the set of “General Hospital” as Maxie Jones and Johnny Zacchara, respectively. Still, they kept their relationship very hush-hush until August 2013, when word got out about them marrying two months earlier. As noted by US Weekly, Storms recalled years later on a podcast that they were friends for seven years before getting together.
According to Storms, the actor would often crash at her house, do Karaoke with her, all while being platonic. Eventually, they knew it was time for a relationship, and things worked out until they walked down the aisle and became parents in 2014. Unfortunately, they both discovered there was nothing in the works for them romantically, and the reaction to that was a divorce. In Storms’ words:
“I’m not going to say that our divorce was great because it wasn’t [and] divorce is always hard. … I felt like I had failed at this thing I had committed myself to, and I’m sure he felt the same way.”
The Soap Stars Called Their Split Very Amicable
In 2020, PEOPLE reported that after almost three years of marriage, the couple headed for divorce in 2016, describing it as an amicable process. The former couple explained that despite going their separate ways, they had the intention to remain a family due to healthy co-parenting and maintaining a spirit of friendship to help them ensure a better environment.
The former couple reportedly consulted therapy before finally deciding to split up, and they came to the final decision that divorce was the best way forward. They noted that figuring out the best way to communicate proved abortive, but they also could not find anything they truly disliked about each other.
Barash emphasized that ultimately, they concluded that raising their children in two separate homes was the healthiest decision for her happiness. The former couple welcomed daughter Harper Rose, five months after they tied the knot.
Kirsten Storms Defended Her Plans To Relocate With Brandon Barash

The actress has announced that she was stepping back from “General Hospital” after 20 years on set, alongside the news that she was making a big move from Los Angeles to Nashville. Parade noted that after the news, many fans reacted with suggestions that Storms was moving because Barash was doing so, and she would not want their daughter to feel his absence.
Storms quickly corrected the narrative, emphasizing that the move was a mutual decision as they had a conversation about it back in January. She added that they were both in on the plan, and a move would never have happened without consent from the other parent. Following their divorce, Barash moved on with Isabella Devoto in 2022 and welcomed a son, Joaquin, in 2023, all while maintaining a wholesome relationship with his ex-wife.
Well, Kirsten Storms lost this round! What would her next move be?
