Erika Kirk‘s long-awaited response to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting scare has drawn significant backlash after she shared it on social media.

In her statement, the widow addressed what she described as the radicalization of American citizens by the left and characterized the shooting scare as a “traumatic” and “evil” experience.

However, Erika Kirk’s response has been met with ridicule online, as some netizens mocked the intense, unusual stare she is often accused of in her videos, along with her choice of outfit in the recording.

Erika Kirk’s Video Addressing Her Critics Backfires

Hours after Erika shared her response to the WHCD incident on her X page, her comment section became flooded with individuals who ridiculed the post rather than empathized with the TPUSA CEO.

One of the recurring criticisms centered on Erika’s intense stare in her videos. This has drawn scrutiny on previous occasions and featured prominently in a recent skit by comedian Druski.

One user posted a snapshot capturing such a moment and added the jab, “somebody gotta stop her.”

Comments also targeted her outfit in the recording, with one individual pointing out that she was “talking about anti-violence” while being dressed like a “sniper.”

“You need new PR, ASAP!! Your delivery, your appearance, your disposition, nothing is working in your favor. You’re talking about anti-violence, and you are dressed like a sniper, what in the world?” the critic said.

Podcaster Spencer Hakimian also criticized the video on X, writing, “There’s something insanely creepy about Erika Kirk.”

Another person noted, “She’s too much of a narcissist to think she’s doing anything wrong.”

Despite the barrage of backlash, Erika also received some support, with a few individuals echoing the points she raised in her address.

“Loved every minute of this, Erika. You have so many of us standing behind you,” one wrote.

What Erika Kirk Said In Her Address

In the eight-minute-long video Erika posted on Wednesday, she called out what she described as the systemic indoctrination and radicalization of American citizens, which she believes is being carried out by people who have “perverted the truth.”

According to Erika, these actions are what led to the motivation behind the assassination of her husband, Charlie Kirk, as well as the repeated attempted murder of President Donald Trump.

Taking a further swipe at those she holds responsible, Erika said political violence has barely elicited any empathy from them, adding that in some cases, some feel “a sick disappointment that the shooter was unsuccessful.”

The TPUSA CEO also noted a “serious epidemic of dehumanization” affecting the country, which has made it normal for the most unthinkable tragedies to become routine in daily headlines.

In her opinion, situations like this now require Americans to come together, warning that failure to do so could put the country’s future at risk.

Erika Kirk Called Out Her Critics In The Video

The address also served as an opportunity for Erika to call out her critics, many of whom only began criticizing her after she took over her late husband’s mantle as CEO of the nonprofit he founded.

She particularly addressed Candace Owens, a prominent podcaster and former associate of her late husband, who has been one of her most vocal critics in recent months.

Additionally, she took aim at Durski, who created a bizarre parody of her, along with others she accused of contributing to ongoing attacks against her.

“Every morning I wake up to a new headline lying about me. I have comedians dressing up in white face. I have… People saying I’m not fit to be CEO. And I have Candace Owens claiming I murdered my husband. And the list goes on and on and on,” Erika said in the clip.

Following the video, Erika made several other posts seemingly in continuation of her experience at the WHCD.

In one, she revealed her reason for attending the event, saying she did so because “many journalists have done everything they can to dehumanize” her for months, and she “wanted to look them in the eye.”

In another post, she called out what she described as the “ultimate hypocrisy” of left-wing journalists who have called Donald Trump disparaging names for years, yet still choose to attend the dinner.

“If they truly believed their own rhetoric, they’re either joyfully willing to have dinner with ‘Hitler,’ or they’re lying to radicalize American citizens with narratives they know are grossly exaggerated,” Erika said in her post.

Elsewhere, she also reinforced one of the key points from her address, where she spoke about radicalization, saying it is a bigger problem than “illegal immigration in this country.”

Erika was one of the many high-profile guests who attended the recently concluded White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

Eyewitnesses revealed that the widow, in her stunning sparkly gown, had to take cover under a table when it was revealed there was a shooter in the building.

A video of her being evacuated from the area early due to the incident was then shared online, showing Erika weeping while saying, “I just want to go home” as she walked past cameras.

She was said to have been briefly consoled by the FBI director, Kash Patel, before finally heading home.

A few days later, Erika addressed the incident online, writing on X, “Saturday was yet another traumatic example of the evil in our country and the continued rise in political violence. I’m taking time to spend with my family.”
