Erika Kirk is finally speaking out about the shooting scare at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner over the weekend.
The mother of two was in attendance and was swiftly evacuated after chaos erupted, appearing visibly shaken by it all.
Erika Kirk received support from several people following her statement, with many also criticizing those who trolled her for crying as she was led away.
The TPUSA CEO Called The Incident ‘Traumatic’ And ‘Evil’ In Her Message

Erika Kirk was one of several high-profile individuals who attended the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, where a gunman attempted to gain entry and briefly exchanged fire with security.
While she was safely evacuated without injuries, she had initially chosen not to comment on the incident, despite many statements from other attendees and concerned individuals.
The TPUSA CEO has now broken her silence, describing the shooting scare as “traumatic” and “evil.”
“Saturday was yet another traumatic example of the evil in our country and the continued rise in political violence,” the mother of two wrote via her X page on Monday. “I’m taking time to spend with my family.”
She also revealed that she intends to fully address the incident on her late husband’s show.
Erika added, “I will be joining The Charlie Kirk Show Wednesday at 12 PM ET to briefly address what took place. Enough is enough.”
Erika Kirk’s Fans Consoled Her After She Broke Her Silence

Under her post, several fans consoled Erika, noting how she may have felt traumatized due to the similarity between the incident and her husband’s assassination last year.
“My heart was breaking for you when I saw you scared and just wanting to be home with all this madness swirling around you,” a user wrote.
“Erika, I’m so sorry you’re having to carry this on top of everything else. What happened this weekend shook a lot of people, and it’s not something anyone should be expected to just brush off,” another individual commented.
Several fans also pushed back against critics who trolled the mother of two after she was seen crying in viral videos.
“The evil monsters who are relentlessly attacking you should be ashamed of themselves,” one wrote.
“People suck. I saw the trauma in your eyes. You shouldn’t have to deal with that. You’ve dealt with more than enough for 1 person,” another noted.
Erika Kirk Repeatedly Stated That She Wanted To Go Home After The Shooting Incident

During the incident, Erika was escorted out by two security personnel, though it remains unclear whether they were part of her personal team or event security.
As seen in viral videos, the mother of two appeared deeply shaken by the shooting scare and was visibly emotional as she was led away.
Reports also indicate that she repeatedly expressed a desire to return home to her children amid the chaos.
“I just want to go home. I just want to go home,” the Turning Point USA CEO said, according to an eyewitness who spoke with the New York Post.
Like Erika, several high-profile attendees at the event were also swiftly evacuated during the shooting. The list includes President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
Erika Kirk Had A Safety Scare Days Before The WHCD Shooting Incident

Prior to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting incident, Erika was set to appear at a TPUSA event in Georgia alongside Vice President JD Vance.
However, the CEO pulled out at the last minute, later revealing that there were safety issues that forced her to skip the event.
At the time, Erika wrote on X, “I was so looking forward to tonight’s event at the @universityofga with our Vice President @JDVance, but after all our family has been through, I take my security team’s recommendations extremely seriously.”
She added, “Thank you to our amazing Georgia chapter for your support. God bless you all!”
A Secret Service source, however, contradicted Erika’s safety claims, noting that there were no “credible threats” at the event, which was still attended by Vance, the vice president.
The move by Erika to ditch the speaking event also seems to have caused some friction within her organization, as the TPUSA UGA president quit shortly after, while blasting the widow’s leadership.
Suspect In The Shooting Scare Has Been Charged
Despite the chaos that ensued, no fatalities were reported during the incident. The only reported injury was to a Secret Service officer, who was protected by a bulletproof vest.
A suspect, identified as Cole Tomas Allen, was arrested that same night. A 12-gauge pump-action shotgun, a .38 semi-automatic pistol, and three knives were recovered from him when he was stopped by the U.S. Secret Service from entering the ballroom.
The 31-year-old remains in custody and was charged on Monday with attempting to assassinate the president, transporting a firearm across state lines, and discharging a firearm during a crime of violence.
On the charge of attempting to assassinate the president, Allen already faces a potential life sentence if found guilty at trial. He did not enter a plea during his initial court hearing.
As to how he gained entry to the location, reports revealed that Allen was a guest at the Washington Hilton hotel, where the event was taking place.
