Rihanna‘s alleged home shooter, Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, is missing out on freedom and time with her kids!

The lady who allegedly aimed her gun at the singer’s Los Angeles home had her day in a Florida court on April 21, 2026, which left her receiving strict instructions from the judge to stay out of her child’s life.

Rihanna’s Beverly Hills home was targeted in a shooting incident on March 8, 2026, while she was present in the building alongside her family, including their three young children, her mother, and staff members.

Ortiz is now completely barred from having any contact with her child until further instructions from the court, with the only exception being a personal approval from the father of the child. The court pronounced that the child’s father has 100% time-sharing with the child, including full custody and control over the child’s day-to-day life.

The star’s alleged home shooter was taken into custody in March for attempted murder after she drove up to her Los Angeles home and fired about 10 to 20 rounds from an AR-15-style rifle into the property from a vehicle parked across the street.

TMZ shared that Ortiz had previously been placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold in Florida. However, she claimed it was based on false accusations, although the judge who handled the judgment today still expressed concerns. Ortiz’s ongoing custody battle has also been paused and would remain so until Ortiz’s criminal case tied to the Rihanna shooting has ended.

According to the accused shooter’s ex-husband’s lawyer, Ortiz was “Baker Acted” in Florida, which meant she was held against her will under state law. The attorney continued that Ortiz remained manipulative, articulate, and very believable while all these went on.

The Blast shared that a Florida judge also cited Ortiz’s mental state in an April 2024 custody battle with her ex-husband, Jed Nikko Valdez Sangalang. Court documents from the case noted that Ortiz’s ex-husband walked away with full physical custody of his child with the accused shooter. The judge then barred Ortiz from engaging in any phone, video, text, email, or third-party communication with the child in question until the court states otherwise.

The judge also revealed that the singer’s accused home shooter had previously asked that the court provide a domestic violence injunction against her ex-husband, but had once been arrested for domestic violence. Ortiz’s domestic violence arrest placed her on probation at the time of the custody battle, with the judge explaining in the custody ruling that the court feared Ortiz might not return the child to the father.

Rihanna’s Suspected Home Shooter Had Documented Episodes Of Being Vile Towards The Singer

The pop icon’s home attacker left a trail of her consistent disdain for the singer online with a post as recent as January 5, 2026, of her rebuking Rihanna’s influence while holding a prayer journal. Ortiz implied in the video that Rihanna had engaged her in a spiritual warfare for a while now, as she warned people to avoid getting under the singer’s negative influence.

In a February post, Ortiz claimed on her Facebook account that Rihanna had AIDS, following up with allegations of gossip and backbiting against the singer. She repeated a similar account of events in a February 17 post, claiming that Drake was aware Rihanna had AIDS.

Aside from Rihanna, Ortiz had also once attacked actress and business mogul Kim Kardashian online, calling her a “stupid b-tch.” Ortiz took her interesting ways offline by attempting to get a Billie Eilish concert at the Kia Center canceled after she filed an emergency petition.

The Singer’s Suspected Home Shooter’s License Is Also On The Line

Ortiz has been licensed to practice speech-language pathology in California, and following her arrest, a member of the board reportedly urged prosecutors to attach very stern conditions to her bail terms from custody.

As stated by The Blast, Ortiz acquired her license to practice speech-language pathology in April 2016, with the expiry date set for June 2027. However, the board appealed to the judge that Ortiz should not be allowed to work with members of the public as a speech-language pathologist if she gets her release from police custody.

Ortiz was picked up by the authorities about 30 minutes after she pulled the trigger and is facing 14 felony counts, including attempted murder, alongside 10 counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and three counts of shooting at an occupied dwelling.

The award-winning singer was spotted leaving her Los Angeles home about 24 hours after the attack on March 10. The mother-of-three was spotted traveling in a line of black SUVs to the private aviation terminal at Van Nuys Airport on Monday, March 10.

During the attack, Rihanna and her family were on the property, although at different locations, and the bullet seemingly hit a security gate, an Airstream trailer, and the nursery room wall.

Ortiz is currently being held on $1.875 million bail, and a plea from her legal team that the court reduce this to $70,000 was denied by the judge, who insisted she posed a danger to the community.
